IT's TWIN PEAKS !!!!
A travesty. Feels more like a fan made collection of VRChat rooms. Only decent part is the end where you control Freddie "One Punch Lad" Sykes and even then, the controls are awful. Whole game is like maybe half an hour long. Not worth the time or the money.
If you seen Twin Peaks then this game is fun to play. In the game you will visit some places from the show. But the only thing you need to do in the game is picking up some items and solve some puzzels. My advise is play this game only if you seen Twin Peaks.
It is fun for the curiosity of having a Twin Peaks library, and you'll get a small kick out of seeing the locations. There is however a massive lack of ambition (lack of documents, lack of voice over). There's some gimmes like, say, an answering machine in the Twin Peaks Sheriff Department, where you might expect some fun Peaks-esque dialogue stuck in there. But, as memory serves, it's just an immediate clue for how to leave the scene as quickly as possible. If you're a die hard Peaks fan, get it on sale and mess with it for an hour or two. But, put expectations to the floor. For anyone else, desperately avoid as it's not a good enough experience on it's own.
Был одноименный сериал, с таким невероятным вайбом, что сейчас уже с трудом его поймаешь, настолько изменилось время. Но все же у нас есть такой новый гем по франшизе, как эта игра. Прикольная, надо сказать.
It's certainly a lackluster VR game. It's buggy, confusing, and not seamless enough, but!!! As a Twin Peaks fan I really enjoyed it. It felt fun and cozy to walk around that world for an hour and see some weird stuff as this game is a trip in some moments. The highlight was certainly the walk through the forest and the black lodge sequence (even tho that 2nd one got really confusing later on).
ehhh. kinda neat novelty, way overpriced.
If you want to experience a short virtual tour of iconic Twin Peaks locations, then it's a game for you. If you expect actual gameplay and NPC interactions, you better skip this one. Because there is neither one of those two in this game. I know that it was clearly made on a budget, and the devs did their best, but there no added value in the game, other than just repeating stuff that's in the original TV show and the Return. Regardless, there is still a pretty visible painting clipping through a shelf in the sheriff's office, and there's 2 achievements that are clearly broken as I've met the requirements to get them and they prevent me from beating the game in 100%. If you aren't a completionist like me who obsesses over 100% achievements it's still a game I'd recommend though.
Twin Peaks VR is an okay experience for hardcore fans of the series but still leaves a lot to be desired. Even though it's cool to walk through some of the most iconic environments in the series, considering that there is no real gameplay or objectives, and it can be beaten in thirty minutes or less, there's pretty much zero replay value. Additionally, Twin Peaks VR is a pretty ugly game with quite a few bugs. However, had the price been $5 or under, I still think it'd be worth picking up if you're a hardcore fan. For $10, though, it's pretty hard to recommend to anyone.
As a big Twin Peaks fan I love this. Any Twin Peaks content is good for me. But if you aren't a huge fan of the show or have any sort of expectations of this being a actual game you are going to be let down. As a big fan, being able to punch Bob in vr is pretty great though. I did basically everything in less than a hour.
