About
Twas The Night is a light-hearted city builder and management simulation where you take on the role of Santa Claus, from the humble beginnings of building wood toys to delivering future tech to children worldwide.
What is Santa without belief? Gain believers and the ability to build more workshops to deliver on your Christmas promise. It's the only currency Santa deals in. Run out of Christmas Spirit and you will cease to exist.
Days of the year fly by in seconds. Race the clock and win bonus Christmas Spirit by fulfilling all Christmas wishes before Christmas Eve. Use Christmas Spirit to build additional workshops, unlock upgrades, and create new Traditions that last for generations.
With 265 days until Christmas and polar darkness setting in, believers' letters pour into the mailroom. Now is the perfect opportunity to fine-tune workshop output to magically grant all wishes. On Christmas day, you will get your final report. Will you have enough Christmas Spirit to keep the magic flowing?
If you make it through Christmas, rejoice! The sun is shining, the elves are on vacation, production stops and letters do not come in for the first 100 days of the next year making this a perfect time to do some much-needed upgrades and maintenance in preparation for the coming holiday season.

Such a lovely idea for a game. Sadly this is (at least not yet) in no where near a state where you would actually enjoy playing the game even for a little while. There is literally nothing to do. All you can do really, is just let the game run until next Christmas and then build new workshop. No resources needed, no challenge. Even the traditions, that you were supposed to be able to add one per year won't work after the initial pick and I didn't find any worth for the upgrades you seem to be able to add them randomly without having the required tools. The menus are unfortunately jumpy and look very unfinished. There is no way of really seeing what you should be producing more or less, and I didn't find a way to actually see what the children were asking for. Post office does nothing, and the mail count can show minus values too. Trying to build a cardboard shop, just builds another bakeshop. The requirements for the unlocking things are unclear , or not working properly. Menus are missing text or icons, or have the same "placeholder" as some others. You just end up building loads of of workshops, that mostly aren't even what they say in the menu and there is no real progress anywhere. you just end up quickly having millions and billions of Christmas Spirit "currency" and nothing to use it on... and then even though you have billions of the Christmas Spirit the game just decides you have failed to keep the Christmas Spirit up and says you have failed. Saves also don't work. It will save to workshop locations, but everything else is lost. So, I won't be able to recommend the game at the state it is in currently. Unfortunately not worth any money.
The idea of the game is really good, but there is no goal in this game. There is no challenge at all which makes it boring to play. I hope it will be upgraded into something that is more fun. Also when I placed the plastic shop and the music shop it didn't work. The game just automatically gave me another bakeshop.
