I First saw this game with coreupted was streaming it, and it caught my interest and i bought it to 1.help support you and 2. try it out myself. Im going to recommend this game because its an experience to try and you can see a lot of effort went in. but im not going to lie and say its an amazing game. I'll be honest. the controls are clunky and stiff. the physics feels all over the place and the difficulty of some stuff feels extremly unfair. That said. if you're willing to stick with it to get used to the controls and get used to the physics theres a suprising amount of fun to be had and a good laugh to have along the way
Turtle Rush is an absolutely punishing game...until you learn how to play. Just like with most 3D platformer's that are worth anything, this game can be quite difficult and unforgiving in the beginning. However, after getting used to the controls, I can honestly say that the game is charming and quite fun. Is it a AAA game? No. Is it the first release from an unknown developer and well worth the money? YES! The game has it's bugs and quirks, but in talking with the developer, he has already addressed the majority of the day one bugs and the game is far better as a result. I'm running on high end hardware, and seeing a game like this that can push it to show amazing landscapes, effects, and textures is awesome. While I have died too many times to count now (feature request: death total stat!), I will still go back to this game time and again. It's a little rough around the edges and I think that the game could do with the balancing since basically anything can kill you in one hit (maybe a shield power up?), but overall, that's what the developer was going for. An unforgiving, punishing platformer that will make you want to pull your hair out. With that in mind, he nailed it. The game is hard, but it is also a lot of fun, and oh man is it satisfying to finally beat a level! When I told the developer that I wouldn't just give him a fluff a review and would give my honest thoughts, he told me to bring it on. So here it is, my honest thoughts...the game is rough in some areas and I was able to glitch it out or break it a few times, but the developer fixed the issues right away when I reported them. With that being said, the game is still fun and definitely has an addicting puzzle feel to it. I think it's a lot of fun and I can't wait to see what this developer comes up with next!
