Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion

When ♥♥♥♥ posting meets quality. This is a short but sweet, funny, and at times narratively pushing Zelda like. You play as a Turnip who happens to be a boy. After not paying your tax's, Turnip boy must collect items to pay back the government, rip up tax forms, and explore the haunting chemical induced rot that turns the veggie people of the land into zombies on-top of discovering what remains of the people who once walked the earth... Wait what? The game somehow manages its switching of tone very well. The game goes from a comical commentary on tax policies to world building about biowaste ending a society and jump starting a new one... It's Ace. The combat is probably the worse part of the package as it's really basic, however, the main draw here is everything I mentioned above. You can get the game for less than $2 and get 3-6 hours of entertainment out of it if you decide to 100 percent the game. Very worth it. Sunset Update: It's nice to see a game provide a Sunset update. The update gives you a new hub area, new hats to buy, and a Rogue Like mode featuring new enemies and upgrades as you fight train car, to train car in a forever loop until you die and need to restart your run. The combat in the TBET is the weakest part of the package. So making a new mode that centers around it felt off. However, the upgrades and new enemies keep things fresh despite three of the five bosses from the base game being not just re used here but needing to fight them once per loop... That being said, the conductor who you fight at the end of every loop is probably the best fight in the game. (the second being Liz in the main game) NPC's from the main game will pop by and give you comedic conversations to keep the loops feeling fresh. Not to mention a secrete boss... That I killed in under five seconds because they got stuck on a crate.... Great way to end the game! Looking forward to robbing a bank as Turnip Boy in the near future!
