I vividly remember initially - and very foolishly - brushing this game off as "it's just an isometric Zelda clone". A total of 60+ hours later across platforms, and this game has since snuck its way into "Game of the Decade" territory to me. It's rare for me to become *this* immersed and invested in a game's world and lore, and it felt beyond magical to sit through this experience and have my mind thoroughly scrambled on countless occasions for countless reasons. It even managed to take me back to a time where the internet wasn't widely available at your fingertips, and you'd have to rely on your own cunning and the information the game gave you to figure out what to do next. And while you can obviously look everything up these days, the beauty of this game is that you really don't have to. You really shouldn't either. It's hard to sing this game's praises without spoiling what makes it so special and being vague about it instead, so you'll just have to believe me. I will say this though: - If this game LOOKS interesting to you from what you're seeing on the store page, please get it. - Go in as blind as possible. - And if you get stuck, please don't look up what to do. Rely on your own wits and trust that the game has the answers. Tunic is absolutely golden, and it's gonna be fun to see if more games will follow the same path. Absolutely masterful. 10/10. If you love an adventure that invites you to use your brain, please play it.
