Reviews
I love this game right up to the moment of the bosses in the latest arena (this was the reason why I never completed the game and deleted it). I just couldn't stand dying almost at the very end and starting all over again, unfortunately I started getting depressed and uncontrollably trying to smash the gamepad on the table

It's The Legend of Zelda if Link was a furry.
Zelda pero eres una z*rra
tunic is a very good blend of soulslike combat, exploration, and what i’m going to describe as an esoteric puzzler. it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, but the hype behind it is very much understandable, and it’s a very easy recommend. mild spoilers below
tunic does exploration incredibly well. the game is surprisingly open ended, and the game is at it’s best when you’re wandering through areas, trying to figure out where to go, discovering all the little nooks and crannies, trying to figure out what everything does, and trying to figure out what it all means. a lot of areas have multiple ways in and out, and a lot of areas are interconnected in ways you wouldn’t expect, but make perfect sense, which alleviates the ‘getting stuck’ problem a little. the loot also makes the exploration feel rewarding. it really is an adventure. the puzzles aren’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but they’re done incredibly well as well. there’s a wide mix of puzzle difficulties that build on each other, and since the vast majority of puzzles involve figuring out something about the world, they don’t block progression, so you can always leave them for later if you’re just not getting it. the holy cross/golden path progression of puzzles is especially well designed in how it starts out trivially simple, but builds a huge amount of complexity over the course of the game in a way that doesn’t feel contrived. a huge win of the game is that, outside of the very last and hardest puzzles in the game, the puzzles never feel unsolvable; they’re hinted at very well. the combat is the weakest part of the game. it’s perfectly functional, but there’s a few design elements that made it a very ‘meh’ experience: -player range is deceptively short -the second hit of the sword combo doesn’t ‘lunge’ nearly as much as you would expect -knockback on some nonboss mobs is very high -player movespeed is quite slow -most bosses have a ‘become invincible and jump away’ move that they use far too often all of this results in a lot of clunky combat scenarios, like hitting an enemy with only the first and third hit of your three hit swing, dodging through an enemy and trying to hit them but still being out of range, walking up to a boss to hit them only for them to jump away multiple times, stuff like that. for a lot of boss fights, i felt like i just ended up holding the stick towards them for the whole fight and tagging them with a single hit before they jumped away again. it felt a bit too tedious for me to say the combat was enjoyable before the movespeed and dash upgrades. my other complaint with the game would be that some of the puzzles just have far too many steps. particularly with the holy cross puzzles, for a lot of them i was left wondering if i had the wrong solution, if i waited too long between inputs, or if i simply just accidentally flubbed an input in the sequence somewhere. i don’t think anything would have been lost if the 20+ input sequences were all trimmed down to maybe 15-30 at most. all in all, a very good game and a very easy recommend.
головоломки очень крутые
Un juego que aparte de llevarte a tus epocas de nostalgia de Zelda, esta muy bien hecho, entretiene andar explorando y farmeando para mejorar armas y vida. MUY RECOMENDADO.
A delightful little game with unexpected dark twists. The end game is a bit frustrating, but still worth it. I managed to play most of it without looking at a guide, and it was fun to figure out the hints of the in-game manual. However, if you want to 100% the game, there are plenty of hidden secrets and easter eggs that are almost impossible to find without some external help.
Such a cool method of progression and learning about the world. I was bad at the combat so the accessibility features were much appreciated
