Reviews
this review contains spoilers: pretty fun game, but it has some stuff that i didn't enjoy, mostly the combat the game has a "bouncy" feeling to the physics, this make combat quite stiff and it's what's mostly makes it unenjoyable for me; the combat also tries to go for a souls style with dodge roll, but also tries to go for a zelda style and it does neither well, it could've easily just not attempted a souls like combat and it would be far more enjoyable; and one last thing about the combat is that the camera, combined with the stiff movement, makes it so terrible at times. depending on the area you are, fights can feel so awkward, but it gets specially bad during boss fights as the camera rotates constantly to face the boss and the bosses move quite a lot, making the camera rotate constantly throughout the fight and that's just uncomfortable to deal with. another downside was how the game both locked me out of the final boss (i have a compulsion of cleaning the whole game before fighting the final boss) and also forced a new game+, there's no reason for this, the trigger for the true ending could've been after fighting the boss and the trigger to a NG+ could've easily been at a statue; it's unfortunate because i don't really feel like going back through the whole game just to fight the final boss. to the strong points of this game, exploration is really good, the game has many many secrets that entices the player to look around and figure things out in a way that after you are met with something curious, you figure it out later on and it has you go through "ooooh" moments, those are quite enjoyable; i feel like if the game had focused on these zelda like elements and just gone for a more fluid and fast movement, and just not cared much about going for a souls like combat, it would've make exploration much more enjoyable; once again, the stiffness was the biggest hinderance for me, specially because exploring even become a lot more fun after acquiring the teleportation crown. i've played with the help of guides, i seriously have no clue how to solve some of these puzzles, but even then i encourage the devs to keep going with these, the puzzles i was able to solve was fun, and the ones i didn't i'm sure it was fun for others. fun game, give it a try.

Great game that doesn't do any handholding. You have to figure things out on your own using your wits and some pages from a game manual.
masterpiece
10/10 Absolute masterpiece.
Came into this thinking it was going to be like Zelda, then I realized it's just an extremely unresponsive top-down dark souls with none of the satisfaction of playing an actual souls game and the increasingly annoying gimmick of the instruction manual. So glad I didn't pay full price for this.
