I absolutely love this game. Challenging and yet peaceful. Almost like a meditation. Yet it is a strategy game. It makes you think and consider what moves can be played. At first I just played solo. But then as I decided to play against other stones (silly or clever or both), I found that even though it made the game shorter, it too was satisfying and restful. A plus to the game is that it is an easy tool for diagnostics. If another game won't start or seems to have glitch(es), I check if Tsuro will play. It never fails on its own. Only if the problem is steamvr or my vr setup.
Loved it... After some 1 hour playing.... It´s great board game. Didn´t tried the original one. But this VR version is awesome. Very easy to play. Quite difficult to beat. Totally recomended to relax with your VR visor. Played on Oculus Quest 2. Standing up and seated down.
Well done game but the UI decisions with placement are super confusing. The cards stay in front of you blocking the board and don't represent the direction of your piece. It would be great if you could just place the piece down, rotate it then confirm.
. Wenn die Macher nun noch Tsuro of the Seas in das Spiel integrieren würden, wäre das Spiel perfekt.
played on quest 2 very chill game, lovely setting and atmospheric music, fun vs AI or with friends movement controls could be better, would also be nice to switch into a birds eye view overall would recommend if you like your board games 8/10
Polecam tę grę .Jest prosta ale bardzo wciągająca.
Really nice board game, and really faithful adaptation in VR.
Works well, the main thing it's missing is two hand control. I'd love to have my cards in one hand so I can avoid looking down so far and be more immersed.
This is more of a neutral review than a negative and honestly I really did want to give this a positive review. What stopped me were a few glaring issues that I discuss below. OK, so, first let me say the overall game mechanics are really fun and really well done. A very nice adaption of the real-life board game The music is nice and relaxing, and I enjoyed the game sounds. Graphics are OK. The style tells me that this is likely either also a Quest game it is going to be shortly. If you like the game in real life, I would probably purchase this. But.... There is no reason whatsoever that teleportation needs to be the only movement option. This is 2024 and the only excuse to make teleportation the only movement option is just laziness. There is no reason the movement should be on the right hand. Every other game, including VR games, put it on the left controller. It is very awkward being on the right. It is also an indication that someone made their game in Unreal Engine and they didn't bother to do much in the way of VR refinement beyond what the engine provided by default. There is no reason the player should not be able to switch hands in-game. I'm a lefty. I do not like having to point at things using my right hand. At it's best, it's awkward. And at it's worst I (for one) won't be able to play this game at all --- the only reason I'm a lefty is because my right arm is crippled and I suffer from chronic pain and motor issues and I have good days and bad days with the arm. I won't be able to play this at all on a bad day. There is no reason the controllers (I am playing on an Index) need to vibrate EVERY SINGLE TIME something happens in-game. Vibration is great when it adds to the experience. It doesn't do that here, IMO, and really it serves as an irritation because instead of focusing on and enjoying the game, I'm wondering what is happening to the battery life of my controllers. There needs to be a way to disable controller vibrations. There is no reason the interface should block the board from the player's view. The tiles you hold in your hand block the board no matter where you go. This makes it frustrating to play since you can't see the parts of the board closest to you. There either needs to be a button that disappears the tiles or there needs to be some interface customization in the game. Tile rotation is a little wonky. Yes you can rotate the tiles and that works fine, but good luck figuring out what way they will actually be facing when you try to put them on the board.
