god awful

This has to be the goofiest game that I have ever played in my entire life. It feels more like a parody of DDLC rather than an inspiration of it.

Needs more chess. The combat system was a bit boring and a little unpredictable at times. Some of my inputs wouldn't register and cause me to miss dodges. I liked the plot, and the characters were interesting. I wish we could've gotten more information about Irelle, Hinamari, and Sora-- as well as a more in-depth explanation of why the death game exists in the first place.

Alright... so I was expecting a full-blown, well-made game inspired by DDLC itself, however this was heavily mild and didn't meat my expectations. The artwork is amazing, along with the character designs being appealing enough to buy, however when it comes down to the quality of the game, it's pretty boring and uninteresting. To dialog that wasn't bothered to be double-checked, to the GUI of the buttons being a plain white box. The only redeeming quality is the game being interactive more than DDLC, however overall, this feels like a bootleg version of DDLC. There are better five-dollar options you could buy and receive. This game has potential developers, however your not putting in much effort...

It's pretty good! I do wish it gave a warning on wish routes haven't been completely done yet as it sometimes loops and some fights are a bit frame perfect to hit or laggy but I believe with more polish it would work out! I got the key for free but def it can work> Also when route with the boy free pls

I played a total of three chess moves all game. THREE.

It was quite the ride... At first it didn't have me, then I got interested, then thanks to a gamebreaking bug it once again lost me. At least each run isn't that long. What can I say? I already knew what kind of game it was, but there was NO build up, it basically got to it almost immediately which wasn't good imo. [spoiler]The fact that the chess wasn't the gameplay in the duels was kinda dissappointing too, as I sort of expected that[/spoiler]. The story then was interesting because I tried checking more endings, which there really isn't many, and the route had more stuff, well the first two times at least cus you got to check some different ways to reach the end, I kinda wanted to see where this mystery would lead, and then the gamebreaking bug happened. In my third run, at the start-ish, I was in the classroom with Yumiko, I went to the closet, then left and as I was leaving I quickly clicked to move and then selected hallway to hopefully move faster as I had accidentally gone to the closet. Right there the game was stuck as I couldn't interact, or move, or ANYTHING. Restarting didn't help either because it would simply put me exactly where I was, which was stuck. So I click reset. IT IS ABSOLUTELY [b][u]HORRIBLE[/u][/b], especially in a game like this that the reset button in the main menu FULLY reset everything and not just the current run, why there wouldn't be a button just for that or putting the FULL reset behind a couple layers is beyond me. This was terrible as I really wanted to figure out the ending stuff, especially the phone stuff I was just missing [spoiler]checking the closet with the key[/spoiler] a second time, and to use [spoiler]7800[/spoiler] in that scene during the end, because it didn't work in my second run, or maybe I screwed up because I made the wrong choice? either way awful. The characters were cool though, my favourites was definitely my alliance with Rin and Irelle, [spoiler]so it's unfortunate that only lasts the beginning of the game[/spoiler] [b][u]Overall[/u][/b], confusing story that has no build up before stuff immediately starts happening, leaving you confused, at the start it also felt a bit boring. It also has a gamebreaking bug which honestly sucks because the game had started being interesting but not enough where I'd play that many items AGAIN. But at the very least, it's not that long of a game.

Okay, this one's been in my backlog for a while. In fact, I bought it back in winter sale '24. I wanted to try a VN in my backlog so here I am. No spoilers, don't worry. But no spoilers means no details. Tsunagari Chess School is something like Doki Doki Literature Club. It presents itself as some cutesy dating sim VN with steroetypical anime girl types only to throw you off with some shocking twist and a darker story in reality, and yeah it does that but, man it's just below mediocre. Plot feels like it's moving at a thousand kilometers per minute, it keeps you guessing and throwing you off, but it feels more like the write is throwing random stuff at you to try to surprise you. Unfortunately, I caught onto what's going on very quickly and saw a couple twists coming. It's something that I'm not laughing with. I'm laughing at. It just comes off as ridiculous. Relationships and character development happens in the blink of an eye and I seriously don't understand how no one is having a realistic human reaction to what's going on. Morbid curiosity is the only thing that kept me going through this lol. It feels like weeb trash. Junk food for weebs. I don't know of any other way to describe it. Art is okay though. It's pleasing to the eyes and that's more than good for me. [i]Please remember to check other reviews to make a properly informed decision about purchasing this game.
