TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is the first season of a turn-based strategy SRPG that takes place in the world of Troubleshooter.

Valhalla is a free trading nation erected by three world powers for their own benefits after the world war. In an attempt to control the nation, the three world powers banned the army from Valhalla. Due to these circumstances, public order in Valhalla is always unstable and thus after ten years the Valhalla government made a bold decision.
The Valhalla government granted civilians the right to investigate and arrest criminals in order to lower the rising crime rate. People call them Troubleshooter.
10 years have passed since the introduction of the troubleshooter system. Albus, a 20-year-old young man, becomes an official troubleshooter. Albus first starts his company on his own but soon takes in many colleagues as he solves more cases. All these new members of the company have their own motivations and stories. You will be experiencing a variety of missions in Valhalla through their stories.

All characters in Troubleshooter have their own unique classes. Each character can rank up to the upper class, and the role of your character changes according to the class.
All characters in Troubleshooter can acquire various masteries according to their levels and classes. Furthermore, you can activate additional effects by combinations of masteries. Utilizing this, you can make a character for your unique strategy.
Such masteries can be acquired by leveling your character up. However, in most cases, you can acquire masteries from enemies. In other words, you can take your enemies' unique traits and apply them to your characters.
There are more than 100 unique missions in Troubleshooter. All missions are designed independently, and all of them have their own unique circumstances.
Troubleshooter uses more than 500 cut scenes to portray the story.
As new characters join your company, playable content will be unlocked according to their roles. For example, if you recruit a hunter character, you will be able to tame beasts. You will be able to craft drones if you recruit engineers.

anime xcom, works really well, great price value. bit too much on conversations
First thing you need to know going in is this game is long and you will need to grind. I am 57 hours in and I just got the 8th party member out of 12 to finally fill out a full party. Most games your party is full before 50+ hours. In fact I don't know that I have ever played a party based game that took longer to let me fill all my slots. Second, the amount of customization on each character is insane due to the huge amount of different skills you can equip on your characters. I've discovered maybe 1/3 of them this far in. If you aren't prepared to spend a good chunk of your time playing on build crafting, especially early on, stay away. The game is not easy if you are using sub-optimal skills. If you are ready for a grind, love your xcom-likes and build crafting, give this game a shot. It is one of the better ones I have played.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Bought after saw the meme on 9gag, that the devs have no clue how to make date system to the game. MAN, THIS GAME REALLY REALLY NEEDS A DATE DLC...
At first this looked like a JRPG melded with XCOM, and I thought this is going to be awesome. It turned out I was horribly, horribly wrong. Positives Loads of ways to improve your characters Loads of different gear upgrades Negatives Literally everything else Far too much dialogue, all I wanted was everyone to shut up Far too many interruptions with "story" The player is bombarded with endless new mechanics, most of which needn't be in the game Combat is haphazard and massively over-complicated No character customisation, you just get the stock characters Poor map design, both in terms of strategic play and fun The phrase less is more is a phrase these developers need to learn. The genius of XCOM was it's simplicity. While there weren't a ton of paths to upgrade your characters they were all meaningful. Combat felt rewarding as there was a strategic element in terms of character placement and cover. Combat in this game feels so chaotic I wasn't sure if any of the ways I'd upgraded my character were making a difference. There is no strategy at all, you move your characters forward into fog of war one by one and at some point you'll stumble into a group of enemies. At least every other map you have to sit through/skip meaningless dialogue. XCOM did this right: sparse cutscenes and next to zero in-combat dialogue. About 5 hours in I had to play this gigantic map with 20 or so ally soldiers. You can switch them to AI controlled but then they just walk a few tiles and end their turn. If you've ever played a turn based game like this I'm sure you can imagine how much fun it is to move 20 or so characters, one by one, over a giant map. It was so tedious I nearly just quit. Then the final nail in the coffin was after that I had to go and find a character called Irene or something, I picked one of the four dialogue options and it just came up mission failed. So I just thought f**k this.
Amazing game, one of the best turn based tactic game I played
