TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is the first season of a turn-based strategy SRPG that takes place in the world of Troubleshooter.

Valhalla is a free trading nation erected by three world powers for their own benefits after the world war. In an attempt to control the nation, the three world powers banned the army from Valhalla. Due to these circumstances, public order in Valhalla is always unstable and thus after ten years the Valhalla government made a bold decision.
The Valhalla government granted civilians the right to investigate and arrest criminals in order to lower the rising crime rate. People call them Troubleshooter.
10 years have passed since the introduction of the troubleshooter system. Albus, a 20-year-old young man, becomes an official troubleshooter. Albus first starts his company on his own but soon takes in many colleagues as he solves more cases. All these new members of the company have their own motivations and stories. You will be experiencing a variety of missions in Valhalla through their stories.

All characters in Troubleshooter have their own unique classes. Each character can rank up to the upper class, and the role of your character changes according to the class.
All characters in Troubleshooter can acquire various masteries according to their levels and classes. Furthermore, you can activate additional effects by combinations of masteries. Utilizing this, you can make a character for your unique strategy.
Such masteries can be acquired by leveling your character up. However, in most cases, you can acquire masteries from enemies. In other words, you can take your enemies' unique traits and apply them to your characters.
There are more than 100 unique missions in Troubleshooter. All missions are designed independently, and all of them have their own unique circumstances.
Troubleshooter uses more than 500 cut scenes to portray the story.
As new characters join your company, playable content will be unlocked according to their roles. For example, if you recruit a hunter character, you will be able to tame beasts. You will be able to craft drones if you recruit engineers.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Highly recommended for fans of XCOM and tactics games. There's plenty of systems here to sink your teeth into, and it's currently my favorite tactical game.
Peak turn-based tactics.
Pretty fun strategy game! It's by no means flawless, but the core gameplay is very enjoyable. If you like customizing units you'll have a blast, although the sheer amount of options and hidden information can be quite daunting at times. It's worth it though; Alisa, Heixing, and Misty ended up being some of my favorite characters mechanically in the genre, and the rest of the cast are pretty great too. The storytelling is quite different than I'm used to, making sure to showcase the perspective of nearly every character at one point or another. This oftentimes results in lengthy cutscenes with multiple backstories. And with the subpar but serviceable English translation, they can be a bit of a bore at times. But ultimately, this game has heart. The developers have clearly put a lot of thought into their world, and I couldn't help but smile at all of the lovely CGs I was being inundated with. It's incredibly satisfying to see your company's headquarters liven up as the cast grows. I even grew a soft spot for some of the random villains that would be a footnote in most games.
This game was fun to check out. I like the progression systems, but it feels like the class level caps happen too quickly. After that, the gameplay for me starts to get redundant. Shortly after that, my save game file started crashing on load. Amusingly, it was kind of a relief because now I can leave the game on a high note instead of slowly losing interest as I force myself to finish the game

Great game. I've played all x-com games. I'm enjoy this game more. The best part is the character building through the mastery system. The loot and gear crafting is good. The combat is very satisfying. Funnily enough i don't like anime games. Or anime in general. Or cartoon graphics. Or cheesy dramas. Troubleshooter has all of that and in spite of it, i'd still rate it 10/10. Kinda checks all the boxes of a turn-based team rpg.
This one is a lot of fun and incredibly deep for the price. The graphics are a refreshing take on TRPGs. The characters are engaging and varied. The skill trees are...a bit overwhelming. TBH it took three restarts before it clicked - I may be slow. There's a lot ahead for me - and I look forward to it!
