Disclaimer: Please note that Triumvirate does NOT have public matchmaking nor does it have single-player. Please DO NOT buy the game if you don't have enough players to form a session. The minimum player count to start a game is 3.
The Triumvirate has been tasked with the management of a grand new city. People flock from all over for the promise of a glorious utopia. Immigration is at a record-breaking high, expansion at an all-time speed. The unrelenting force of growth will cause the inevitable collapse of the city.
Triumvirate is better described as a city-administration game than a city-builder. How long can you and your friends keep the city afloat?
3 to 6 players manage one or two government departments each, depending on the size of the lobby. Each department has unique starting bonuses. Try them all out!
Each department has unique tasks to complete to either sustain the city, or boost its prosperity. Everyone needs to succeed for the city to prosper.
The Department of Agriculture and Infrastructure keeps the city from starving, and directs the supply of goods.
The Department of Industry and Finance manufactures export goods, and manages the yearly budget of the other departments.
The Department of Defense and Labor to suppress insurrections, and audits the citizens to ensure compliance.
Some tasks have requirements that can only be fulfilled by other departments. Communicate with your friends or you may struggle to develop your city districts.
Dictate laws, create buildings, start special programs, complain to your friends regarding their law choices, and more.
An abstract representation of your city keeps things tidy and performant for lower end systems. Watch as your city expands and grows.

Great idea, lots of fun coop, needs a bit of tweaking end game
As near as I can tell from the charts on SteamDB, my four friends and I are the player base for this game. That's a shame because it is a really fun and interesting game that really requires co-op play. The entry barrier is difficult without matchmaking and solo play, but honestly it's worth finding a couple friends to go in on it. One criticism is that the game being as small as it is, I had hoped the deb payed at least a modicum of attention to the Steam discussion forum for their own game. One other person and I posted comments on their that have been totally unnoticed by the dev. If success for this game is the goal, it might be a good idea to be a little more active in helping it grow.
