Reviews
It's just kinda worse in a LOT of little ways. Way too zoomed in, and the physics seem floaty and sluggish. Every thing is way too easy except some things are virtually insta-kill. Characters feel inept, and if you focus on box/platform upgrades you can bypass almost all the puzzles pretty early on. Most levels are super flat, often making me feel like I've missed something. Sometimes long sections have zero vertical at all. Feels like a completely different team made this game Edit: I've played it a lot more because I'm a masochist and want 100% and I am doubling down. 4/10 at best unless all you care about is "it looks pretty"

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Finally cleared Trine 1 & 2 with my wife. It was our nightly ritual after dealing with our kid’s endless energy all day. Lol
This is a great game for couch co-op to play with kiddoes. Music is good. The visuals are way better than I expeted them to be. If I have any criticism of the game it's that sometimes I felt like I brute-forced my way through a puzzle without solving it the 'correct' way. Overall a great fun time.
Trop beau, trop bien ! L'histoire est simple, belle, fonctionne Je recommande <3 :)
The game is not bad at all. Just mind it does not run on Linux and so, probably same on a deck. It also attempt to connect to the internet but can easily be blocked for a local play with the right application firewall.
Absolutely EXCELLENT co-op puzzle platformer!
If you're here you might have played Trine 1? And if so, you already know what you're getting into. If not, go play that first, cause this is a complete evolution on that formula directly following up on it, and I've already left a review explaining that game back when I 100%ed that one. Anyway! Trine 2. This is often seen as the best game in the series and it's honestly kind of earned that title. Think the first game, but with the confusing inventory system removed, the controls refined, more mechanics touched up, the existing ones rebalanced a bit, and the visuals cranked up to A MILLION. The gameplay is polished more, broken mechanics like Amadeus' platforms are reworked or rebalanced in some way, and entirely new things are added, such as Zoya's gravity arrows. All still obtained as perks from levelling up by exploring and finding XP flasks, of course. There's no inventory or stats this time around, which some could argue is a downgrade? But honestly most upgrades were such minor stat boosts or such situational passive effects that it ultimately felt unfocused and didn't really add much to the experience while being kind of clunky to manage. It's probably better that everything's been streamlined into permanent skilltree upgrades this time. Co-op is as fun as ever, too! The extra mechanics allow for even more interactivity between both players and teamwork, and it doesn't really do anything wrong that the first game didn't. The level design's got MUCH more interesting settings and setpieces too! It's still... well, a relatively standard medieval high fantasy setting, but they make much better use of it this time, with stuff like the giant animals in the forest, the eldritch-monster-infested sewers, the neat goblin architecture in the desert area, the flying islands with steampunk machinery, or the
worm stomach level
. Just to give some examples. You weren't gonna see this stuff in the first game, which is still a good game mind you! But this one just does WAAAAY more interesting stuff so it's even better. Anyway, back to the graphics I briefly mentioned. Seriously, this 2011 (2013 is for the complete edition) game does not at all look like a 2011 game, in the same way Trine 1 did not at all look like a 2009 game, but even MORESO here. In the best way possible. Trine 1 already looked really really pretty for its time (no doubt helped by the fixed camera and deliberate scene setups that it allowed for), but this game is genuinely incredibly gorgeous, even today. The only thing I'd say looks slightly rough is the character animations for cutscenes, but even then you only notice how slightly stiff they are on the few occasions where it zooms in all the way so you can notice. Outside of that, this game is pure eye candy. The music is... Well, it's good! It's still good, like the first game. Better than that I'd say, considering there's actually a couple songs I actually remember this time around because of their catchy melodies (e.g. the main theme or the boss theme which is a banger). But it does suffer a little bit from "generic" syndrome where most of it is just standard medieval fantasy-type orchestral fare with not very interesting melodies. It works perfectly well in-game! It's just that outside of like 2-3 songs it's nothing I'd go out of my way to listen to outside of the game. The story's a bit more interesting, too. Instead of just fighting an evil necromancer who's evil because he's evil to get him to stop spawning skeletons all over the kingdom, you're pulled back into adventure by the Trine (something that would become tradition for the series going forward), as it, without a word as usual, just takes you where you need to be to help the kingdom with its problems. In this case, having to do (without spoiling anything) with a goblin invasion and a feud between royalty. Then the DLC (included in this version at no extra charge which is good) is just a straight up all-out against the goblins as they seek revenge from the events of the main game. And that DLC is shorter than the main game, but it's somehow even MORE polished, with more detailed cutscenes, entirely new and original environments, and I'd almost say prettier environments and setpieces. And as if that's not enough, there's a TON of achievements to get if you wanna squeeze some extra playtime out of the game like I did! The first game had some of that, yeah, but this game has like twice as much stuff to do by comparison. Really, the only flaw I'd say I see in this game is how weirdly easy it is, especially on bosses. You get infinite respawning, enemies stay dead, and bosses STAY DAMAGED, allowing you to just bang your head against every boss encounter and die and respawn 30 times and still win. It's kind of weird that they don't at least reset bosses. Granted, Hardcore mode allows for a more proper challenge! But considering it's basically per-stage permadeath (only one resurrection per checkpoint and then you have to restart the whole level), it doesn't really feel like a proper solution, just more of a bandaid that swings in the complete opposite direction and is really really hard instead because of those heavily limited respawns. Anyway, TLDR! Really, REALLY good physics-based puzzle platformer, essentially a complete improved evolution of the first game. Extremely fun in co-op, super pretty visuals, super cheap price, I can't recommend it enough.
