The art style and the items in this game are a lot of fun (I especially enjoyed the names of the books and games found on the beach). The pace is good; you make it through each day with a nice rhythm and through achievements regularly. I like that there were more islands to explore and that I could do more with the ocean life on the beach though the animal hospital.
Pretty repetitive and the upgrades don't feel very impactful.
cute, easy to learn mechanics, mildly repetitive but still fun
This game is another hit from Rogue Duck! It is the same format as their other job simulator games, but thats what I like about them. I like seeing the same items across all their games, and this game has its own unique items and mechanics. I really enjoyed the day to day tasks, and the advancements in the ability to repair stuff is cool. I just wish the homeless man would show up more so I can get the last achievement lol
Cute game but a bit grindy. Nice to play with a roommate or spouse. Easy after a long day, very chill.
Adorable graphics but it gets suffocatingly grindy so quickly. The demo was enjoyable, but I thought the full game would come with more interesting mechanics. The only joy to be found after, say, 2 hours of hustling this game and youve unlocked all mechanics is for completionists who have an unnerving need to unlock everything in the book. The villain reforms himself with 0 effort way before you get the petition done, which feels neither deserved nor satisfying. The seashell merge 'game' really, really got on my nerves, and I dont even want to talk about it. The conversations with the islanders lead nowhere, you get to know them a bit and then thats it. You unlock more islands, get more tickets, get richer.... and yeah. Feels underdeveloped and not worth the asking price, theres probaby like 20 hours worth of gametime if you collect everything but 17 hours of those would be straight padding and filler.
The game looks cute but has almost nothing to it, no challenge - progression isn't worth it and very boring. It instantly is repetitive so it doesn't feel like a fun game to even try to grind to unlock the other islands. Very disappointing
I love this game! It's a perfect low stakes, brain off but still engaging and cozy game. As other comments have said, it's a little grindy and repetitive, but I like that about it! The gameplay loop of discovering new items and unlocking new ways to restore keeps me engaged and wanting "just one more day". I also love learning which items are worth the most money and worth my time to restore versus recycle. I like the upgrade system, it feels balanced. It's not too difficult to upgrade but it does take some planning of saving for certain high priced items. This is definitely a simple game but to me that adds to the charm. And there are many little aspects of this game that are very satisfying like the merge game and the beach fair tickets. I've seen some comments that say unlocking new tools for restoration doesn't increase the price of the restored item. That is not my experience! Especially the jewelry machine and oyster thing really increase the price. Even if some of the restoration tools only increase it a little, I really enjoy all the mini games and it's more fun to have a variety of ways to restore items so it's still worth it to me.
