About

There are 7 different games inspired by cult horror movies from the 80's and 90's. That exaggerated horror in some cases even comical and disturbing.
Some games are more horror and tension oriented, others are based on bullshit movies like (Scary Movie).
Each game has its own particularity, making them unique! Embark on various adventures and take a dive back to the 80s.

"1873" is a horror and investigation game, with elements of armed combat. Using the vibe of the 1800s. For those who are used to my games, this one has a very different style.

"DAD" is a horror game with a bizarre style and story. Inspired by horror and suspense films from the 80s and 90s. With PS1 style graphics.
"Fart Killer" is a short trash comedy game mixed with cult horror from the 80s. With totally absurd and meaningless scenes. Don't expect a super Hollywood production... It's much better than that!
"Gears 2" is a psychological survival horror game. Inspired by the movies "SAW". Bringing different mechanics from the first game. Bringing tense moments with a lot of gore... forcing you to make decisions that will lead to life or death.
"Halloween Revenge" is a short horror game inspired by trash horror movies from the 80s. Mixing weird horror with comedy and weird characters. This mix results in a nostalgic game.
"Trash Night" is a horror and drama game inspired by the cult horror films of the 80s and 90s... The golden age of VHS tapes. With "PS1" style graphics and an environment reminiscent of low-budget films.
"We Are Not Alone - Contact" is a reimagining of the first game. Inspired by alien horror films from the 80s, bringing comical horror and at the same time scary and bloody.

Trash Horror Collection 5 continues 616 GAMES’ love letter to VHS-era horror, but this entry feels more experimental and uneven than earlier collections. With 7 games for $5, the value is still solid, but this collection leans harder into genre variety than consistency. Instead of a tight lineup of short, punchy horror experiences, Collection 5 feels like a creative sandbox where ideas are tested—some landing extremely well, others feeling more like curiosities than full concepts. The standout entries here are 1873 and Gears 2. 1873 is a genuine surprise, blending investigation, atmosphere, and armed combat in a grim 1800s setting that feels completely different from the rest of the series. It’s slower, more methodical, and far more grounded, showing that 616 GAMES can step outside VHS parody when they want to. Gears 2 builds meaningfully on the original with more mechanics, harsher decision-making, and unapologetic gore. It captures that grimy SAW-inspired tension better than most indie attempts, forcing players to live with their choices rather than simply react to scares. On the other end of the spectrum, games like Fart Killer, Halloween Revenge, and Trash Night fully embrace absurdist trash horror. These are intentionally dumb, chaotic, and drenched in low-budget charm—exactly the kind of nonsense you’d expect from a late-night VHS rental. DAD sits somewhere in the middle, offering PS1-style surreal horror with an off-putting narrative that won’t click for everyone, but still feels distinct. We Are Not Alone – Contact revisits familiar territory, expanding on the alien horror theme with more blood, humor, and polish, though it doesn’t feel as fresh if you’ve played earlier entries. Overall, Trash Horror Collection 5 feels like a turning point rather than a greatest-hits compilation. It’s messier, more experimental, and less cohesive than Collections 1–3, but also more ambitious. If you’re here for polished consistency, this might feel like a step sideways. If you enjoy seeing a developer push ideas, remix old concepts, and occasionally swing wildly, this collection still earns its place in the Trash Horror lineup.
