On the other end of the spectrum, games like Fart Killer, Halloween Revenge, and Trash Night fully embrace absurdist trash horror. These are intentionally dumb, chaotic, and drenched in low-budget charm—exactly the kind of nonsense you’d expect from a late-night VHS rental. DAD sits somewhere in the middle, offering PS1-style surreal horror with an off-putting narrative that won’t click for everyone, but still feels distinct. We Are Not Alone – Contact revisits familiar territory, expanding on the alien horror theme with more blood, humor, and polish, though it doesn’t feel as fresh if you’ve played earlier entries.
