Easily the weakest of the series. Feels more janky than ever and less games overall. Feels unfinished.

Do you know the feeling of watching Tales From The Crypt episodes by a dark october night while enjoying hot chocolate and being wrapped in a bed cover ? Whell, these series of game collections mostly do provide the same delightful feeling. I've had so much fun going through the first four collections, that it deeply saddens me to write this negative review. Compared to the first collection, two main issues arise. 1 -> Some games, in an attempt to provide more realistic lighting and shading, run awfully bad. Sometimes you get from 60+ fps to 15, just by rotating your viewing angle a few degrees in a direction or another, simply because some lights/effects are unnecessarily overheading the Unity render pipeline. It has nothing to do with hardware, as it pretty much go to sleep when that happens. 2 ->Some games do cointain game breaking bugs, which make them either very hard or impossible to complete if it occurs. Gears 2 doesn't reset his "points" which acts like a currency system that you need to use to progress (and there is no way to recover them), even when starting a new game. So, if you make one mistake, you found yourself lacking the points you need to finish it. If you do make a flawless run (like I managed to do), you will start with the same amount of points you got when you finished it the first time, and there isn't enough to complete the game a second time. Halloween Revenge can also softlock you, as you are supposed to receive text messages from a friend to trigger the progress, but it has a high tendancy to simply not happen. I had to restart the whole game three times to be able to complete it. We are not Alone - Contact, is much darker than its standalone version on itch, for some reason. Making the last part of the game very hard as you can't see much of anything, as if all indirect lighting was disabled. These are just of few. The thing is, for "horror" and "creepiness" to work as intended, one has to be immersed within the experience. Going from smooth gameplay to a real slogfest for no apparent reason doesn't help at all. Likewise, getting into gamebreaking bugs and softlocks only add more frustration to the experience. To sum it up, I would say that the game themselves are quite cool and fun, but I'm amazed by the fact that not only none of these issues have been adressed since its release in march, but the dev has yet to even acknowledge them.

Im writing this as a huge fan of the studio and by having all the trash horror collection games. This one is NOT like the others. Most of the games in this collection are NOT optimised. Some scenes run with less than 30 fps and it really makes it hard when it's a first person + shooting. Getting passed that,2 of the games are bugged. The first being ''gears 2'' , the points system appears to be broken,if you fail to sustain 100 life points and die,resetting won't fix it thanks to the points getting bugged as you receive less than 100 every restart. The other bugged one was the Halloween game. for some reason one of the text messages didn't pop up in the phone,resulting in the game being stuck. Last but not least,in some areas,especially he last game (aliens) the brightness is trash. It's literally so low,you can't even see the enemies half the time. Bad things aside,i liked the concepts and lore,and i think they nailed on those. But please give the optimisation and a brightness option + bring back the old ''screen effect'' option back in this game and the future ones.

for 2$ ( steam summer sale ) i can never complain abt this collection , 7 games for 2$ and they're very good in my opinion def would recommend it ! the 7 games are : 1. 1873" 8/10 2. dad" 10/10 3. fart killer" 7.5/10 4. gears 2" 9/10 5. halloween revenge" 6/10 6. trash night" 6/10 7. we are not alone" 7/10 all are def above 5/10 imo and the best was gears 2 or dad , better than the rest of trash collection series , 2$ BUY IT ! :) KEEP IT UP 616 GAMES , MAKE A NEW COLLECTION :D
