A fun little colonisation simulator, light hearted and upbeat
This is a lovely little indie colony builder. You have a total of 6 colony locations that you can develop each of which has different combinations of available resources and colonist needs creating a supply chain problem for you to ship the different goods around the system. To take just one example, the colony Outlands is on one of the outer system moons and as such needs to be supplied with Oxygen. There are four different ways that you can do this each of which has different pros and cons regarding how much manpower and shipping it takes. You can manufacture the oxygen in situ from ice but this is very manpower intensive. Alternatively you could ship in water from another colony which takes a lot less manpower but the water is very bulky to ship. Finally you could manufacture the oxygen in one of two other locations and ship it in which is less bulky than shipping the water but also requires more manpower or secondary shipping. Overall I really enjoyed this game. The only downside I have is that the price is a little bit high for the play time (it took me 6 hours to beat the game the first time and a total of 15 hours to do all achievements). Personally I think that it's worth it to support an indie developer but it is something to be aware of.

Trappist is a story-driven colony management experience, like a vastly simpler and more forgiving IXION or Frostpunk with an Anno-esque tiered resource system. You will need to set up colonies on every planet in the system, building manufacturing and supply chains to keep your people surviving and thriving. Each colony site has a unique theme, as well as unique resources you will need to unlock all of the buildings and goods. As the story progresses, you will also encounter events you'll need to deal with. As it stands right now, Trappist is a reified IXION + Anno experience - it features the fewest number of components to identify it for what it is. It has a few interesting features: the Ark being a mobile trading and manufacturing post can make for interesting builds, and I liked clicking various bits in the game world for research points or resources. The story and writing is efficient - there isn't a lot of it, but it adds some light-hearted flavour in a way that's endearing without being too annoying or "memey". On the flip side, the replayability isn't fully there yet - without trying to beat it quickly, it took me a little under 10 hours to get 100% achievements. There is an interesting New Game+ twist that could eke out an additional 5-6 hours, if you know how to set it up, but there is little beyond that. Adding to the barebones feel are the hooks for future content which doesn't exist yet - in the game's defence, the developer says it is under active development. Finally, there is some UI and controls clunkiness, and it may be slightly confusing to start because of the way its tutorials are presented. All that being said, these are small blemishes on an otherwise lovely game that gets the core experience of this genre right - those looking for a short and tight experience will definitely enjoy it. It's cute, it's satisfying, and it gets extra points for being fully cross-platform. If you're after a massively challenging experience, this isn't it, but it will keep you entertained for a short while, and will benefit from a revisit after a break. Looking forward to more updates!
A very neat resource management puzzle in an interesting sci-fi setting. It's almost a smaller scale Anno in space.
Trading interface is very confusing. Makes figuring out if its working or not difficult
Storyline carina e con molti spunti per implementarla, come anche tutte le dinamiche tra pianeti.La fine lascia un punto interrogativo da colmare il prima possibile.Consigliato
good, calm, bite-sized fun
A fun little game!
This has been one of the best 15$ game I've ever bought. The resource management is very fun and easy to understand, and the little bits of story here and there are interesting!
