Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter

This is one of the best RPGs I've ever played in my life. Now is it the BEST...? Probably not, yet there is still so much amazingness to glean from this 50 hour experience. I usually never 100 percent games, but the combat, worldbuilding and exploration of this game were too good. Especially the combat. To be honest, that's the thing that kept me in. It's like a chess with more layers. Of course as others have mentioned, the game is a tiny bit slow. Don't expect anything too ridiculous from the plot. Nobody dies, and the story isn't too riveting (except for the end really) but don't let that stop you from giving this game a shot. The world is vast and expansive, and there lies a hint of childhood beauty at every turn. (Reminder that this game is one of two chapters, so the true outstanding stakes will be left there. Still this game does have its turns that definitely flesh out the plot and leaves you asking for more.) To be honest, I'm a new Trails fan. This is my first Trails game, but with that status allow me to tell you, if you have even the tiniest bit of interest in this game and its world, don't hesitate to play the demo. Oh and hell, if you like the demo? I don't even gotta tell you what what you should do next.

Eines der besten JRPGs, die ich in den letzten Jahren gezockt habe! Das Remake ist echt ein Meisterwerk geworden. Vor allem die Story gehört für mich zum Besten, was ich jemals in einem Spiel erlebt habe. Wer auf gute Rollenspiele steht, macht hier absolut nichts falsch.

This was my first Trails game and I can't believe how much I've been missing out. This is a true JRPG with a great cast (both main and side), lots of fun side quests, and a world you can learn about with ease since there's nothing overly complicated. Looking only at comparison videos, the original looks quite charming versus the remake but I don't think you can go wrong with starting here like I did. It also runs great on the Steam Deck with no settings adjustments (and before the graphic patch). The story starts out pretty slowly, but it ramps up after you start to feel familiar with the world. The game does set up for the next chapter, but it explains just enough about what happens in this one that it's not just all cliffhangers. The combat's confusing at first and some of the battles are really hard even on Normal (notably two fights in the prologue...) but it's surprisingly in-depth later on with varying orbment/equipment combos and different arts, (de)buffs, etc. It just doesn't get stale with the clever mix of action and turn-based mechanics. High-Speed Mode (which is customizable) is a godsend if you start to find the explorations or combat slow/repetitive. The JP voice acting is fantastic, although there were some awkward moments where one set of the cast would be voiced but the others wouldn't be. I think it's one of the simpler JRPGs to get into and definitely one you should try if you want a slow burn story with compelling characters and an interesting world, especially if you're just on the edge. Now I'll be (impatiently) waiting for the 2nd Chapter remake to come out...!

o jogo tinha tudo para ser maravilhoso, mas achei ele defeituoso em vários pontos. Primeiro que os personagens têm só uma roupa durante o jogo inteiro. para eu conseguir outra roupa eu tenho que ficar comprando dlc, o que eu acho um absurdo e um falta de consideração com o consumidor, porque o jogo é muito caro, e não vem nem com uma roupa extra para a gente trocar. Além disso, as dlc de roupa são ruins, umas roupas bem sem graça e feias! Vocês podem não achar que isso importa, mas importa para muitas pessoas, estou só dando uma dica, os jogadores gostam de mudar o visual dos personagens. Ainda mais nesse jogo que tem até romance! Outra coisa que odiei foi batalha em turnos. quem inventou essa forma de batalha ridícula? gasta tempo demais, é cansativa e chata! e outra, achei essas batalhas desse jogo desnecessariamente difíceis e longas! não curti nenhuma batalha, só torcia para que acabasse logo. não tenho tempo para gastar, ficando 3, 4 minutos batalhando. Outra coisa que achei desnecessariamente complicada era a mecânica em geral do jogo. Para eu aprimorar meus poderes eu tinha que ficar fazendo orbes. tinha uma roleta que podia colocar orbes, mas não era acumulativo, eu colocava um orbe e pronto, o meu poder não ficava mais forte. e não entendi como aumentava meu poder porque era complicado, muito cheio de coisas para fazer, não era nada intuitivo! Não precisa complicar tanto as mecânicas! Além disso, as missões secundárias eu tinha que ir lá longe na cidade para fazer elas. e eram extremamente difíceis e cansativas com aquelas batalhas de turno! Outra coisa sem graça foram alguns designers do jogo. Para fazer comida eu tinha que ficar comprando ingrediente em uma lista que não tinha imagem da comida, e eu fazia a comida em um menu, completamente do nada, porque não tiveram o cuidado de montar postos funcionais, onde eu podia fazer a comida. Além disso o mapa era bem feio e sem graça. enfim, gostei da vivacidade dos personagens, gostei da história, gostei do romance, mas não vou continuar jogando agora porque não tenho tempo nem paciência de ficar entrando em batalhas de turno, e achei o jogo no geral nada incrivelmente impressionante, comparado a outros jogos parecidos, tipo my time at portia por exemplo. não vale meu tempo agora. talvez daqui uns anos... Uma última coisa que eu acho que muitos produtores de jogos orientais não sabem é que apesar de que no brasil os preços de compra dos jogos de vocês caiam, a gente é um público bem fiel agradecido e lucrativo quando o produtor do jogo tem o cuidado de colocar tradução em português! eu entendo espanhol, mas jogar o jogo no meu idioma é completamente diferente e menos cansativo! espero que um dia vocês aprendam que o idioma português nos jogos é bem importante, e por incrível que pareça para vocês, é lucrativo! Passar bem!

Amazing remake of an already great but dated game. I've played the original, but this remake really elevates everything to new heights. I have some nitpicks about it, but all of them are related to the localization effort and not the game itself. Trails, as I'm sure many have heard already, is a long-running franchise with a continuous overarching story that spans more than 10 games and counting. Despite that, it's far from an all or nothing scenario where you need to play them all or you'd be missing something. Each arc has a satisfying story that wraps up nicely by the end, and subsequent arcs keep telling new stories in the same world that reference past events, build upon them, have returning characters and so on. The main issue before was playing the more "modern" games first and lacking 10 games' worth of context, which is not a problem with Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter since it is, well, the first entry in the franchise. Playing this and the upcoming Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake is more than enough to close the book on the narrative for those who don't feel like playing the following games. This reminded me why Trails in the Sky is my favorite arc of this whole franchise and got me very excited for the 2nd Chapter remake's release. I'd recommend any fan of RPGs to give this a try: It has great characters, great gameplay, amazing lore & worldbuilding, stylish visuals, catchy soundtrack, it really has it all. It really should be approached as the first half of a two-piece whole, because that's what it is essentially, but I find it to be well worth the investment. If I had to give this a rating, It'd be a 9/10. Now to bear the wait until September...

Восхитительный ремейк, восхитительный OST, восхитительная оценка, ставлю лосяру!! Больше всего меня теперь забавят отговорки фанатов каллсоны (1-2) что якобы разрабы не могут сделать ремейк игры из-за того, что это будет очень тяжело, что это будет совершенно новая игра. Гляньте на этот ремейк и дальше хавайте кaлловые массы от своих любимых атлусов.
