TRAILCAM

Not a bad way to kill a little time. Game really builds the suspense well but its execution is underwhelming. Ending is pretty bland and leaves more questions then answers. Motion Blur is horrid. Give it a wack if its on sale its pretty good. (hurts my head that they didn't shut the dam door)

Reminded me of a scary type of firewatch game. I really enjoyed but would have enjoyed more if each play through was a bit different when making reports, even if different animals were in different spots.

It was a nice idea, but like other reviews say poorly executed. The gameplay of the game is to wait until computer says motion detected and report on the camera what it is. I failed the first time because you can't really tell the diff between a fox and a wolf models in the darkness of the wild and get a little confused on which one to click on the report. My frustration is if you spend a good 20-30mins reporting and make a few mistakes, its instant game over, you get a phone call saying you're fired and then instant Game over screen. And then you got to replay the whole game without being able to skip the phone conversations and having to wait around for the motion detected all over again is just painful. 2nd attempt, though the whole game I'm spamming the button for the bear deterrent light thing at the door. I look at camera just after I've spammed the alarm thing to max. instantly see a head telling me to turn around. I leave the camera and instant death.. What's the point in the bear deterrent if it doesn't even do anything???? I don't want to go through the pain of waiting and going through all the phone calls to get where I was and to attempt to finish it.

TRAILCAM is sort of short anomaly hunting game - as a wildlife expect, you have to investigate the dissapearance of few turists in the forest. And to do so, you have to monitor few cameras and report the animals moving in front of them. Well...animals and other things. There are few things that the game does well. The atmosphere is nice, the idea is fine, the U5 engine is used actually well (which is rare for an indie game). Other thing could be better. The cameras don't have zoom, so it's not always that easy the animal (and sometimes you are seeing only parts of it) to be recognized. And the mechanic that keeps the bear allarm running is terribe - you have to click it hundreds of time. Perhaps if this can be changed (for instance - clicling and holding to replace the endless click) it will be better. Or, you can not pump it at all - who know what will happen?
