the worst staff in history. i was perma banned by a self identified narcissist for a small and single infraction and she told me she gets off to people getting mad at losing their accounts. disgusting behavior, i dont know how a game allows these authoritarian nolifes to work here.

I love this game. However the moderation and player base has become unbearable, and sucked all the fun out of the game. People join the game and will throw the game by outing all there mafia partners and leaving the game when they get roles that they do not like. People will also join the game looking to throw the game by claiming jailor (Only one jailor per game) to get hung for being a fake jailor, but they are really sheriff. The only reason for this is to ruin your fun and they get enjoyment out of this. People also use multiple accounts while in a single game to gain a unfair advantage. Not to mention, the report system seems to do nothing, as someone will throw the game by outing mafia, gets reported by AT LEAST 3 people and is somehow in the next game just to do it agian!? This game is also really hard for new people to get into, especially with most of the player base being veteran players and trollers who are just screwing around on a game with no moderation. This game is sadly being killed by the moderation and they need to fix there game. Do not buy this product.

Putting a negative review simply because I disagree with the way they moderate the game. Their approach to banning is "if you make 4 mistakes within your entire playtime, you are permanently banned. Also, we can make any infraction count multiple times at our discretion." (Hint: exactly what happened) I believe the game itself is good, but I also believe there is a severe disconnect between the devs & moderators to their playerbase. They do not care about context. They do not care about loyalty. You'd think a smaller company would. And for those who are curious, what had happened is someone convinced me to show trial keys to the game while I was streaming. They then (presumably) proceeded to do some not-so-friendly actions on the accounts they made with those keys. I understand what I did was wrong, but they gave me all four strikes from that singular incident after 700 hours of playtime. You think they would do better.

Used to play this game via the browser a lot, then got it on Steam and played it a bit more. I remembered having a lot of fun with this game - hardly any long queue times, and so long as people knew how to play, the games were generally entertaining and fun. Even better though if people really leaned into the Roleplaying aspects. This was all a long time ago though... Then I joined the Official Discord and after a week had one of the Official ToS Moderators start private DM'ing me and harassing me into joining a Loli Hentai Discord server. I still have this interaction screen-shotted and can still access the DM's. I have never touched Town of Salem again. If that's the kind of people BlankMediaGames have on their team, then absolutely the ♥♥♥♥ not wanting anything to do with their games again. And considering what I know the other team members are like where they can't take a lick of criticism and have no manner of controlling toxicity, they themselves will be the reason ToS eventually fails.

best game ever, but please unban me because its not my fault your naming system allowed me to name myself CumSnorter, that is ur mistake and not mine so i shouldnt be banned for that. other than that best game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People are making scripts that permanently stall lobbies. It makes it impossible to even play the game. Blocking the accounts does nothing. Devs need to actually fix the problem or the game is unplayable.

racists and game throwers run rampant. then, they evade their ban. I've played this game for years, just recently saw I was banned for hate speech, which made me laugh, as it was probably because of the way I bullied the racists and game throwers (not by saying slurs either). [EDIT: banned, as a woman, for misogyny? let me know how that makes sense!] guys, just go play another multiplayer game. after years of this game, it is not even worth the effort to evade my ban and play, the game is that cooked. [EDIT: ban evasion is super easy in this game, you just have to purchase the online web version from different accounts. thats how users like SomaliPirate and Roma keep coming back. cheers!]
