TowerClimb is a difficult and rewarding procedurally generated platformer with roguelike elements. Enormous and mysterious towers of ancient unknown origin stand above humanity, extending to the heavens. Struggle forward as a weak human, driven by an iron will to reach the top.

I suck so much at this game but i love it either way, like an abusive relationship
One of the most satisfying and heartbreaking platformers I've ever played. Getting an hour into a run that you really think will make it, just to die to a glowstick into a floating eyeball really stings, but it makes the taste of victory so much sweeter. Which is why I am posting this review. After 70 hours and on and off playing. I have finally conquered the tower. At least the main part of it. It feels surreal. After so many hours of dying countless times to finally win. Never did I think that it was the run until it just was. I am still horrified to see what other content this game has because I know it goes so much deeper. Will I return to the tower soon? Doubtful, but will I eventually come back? Almost assuredly. I am so glad that my brother showed me this game as I haven't had a challenge like this in a long LONG while. I cannot recommend any more that you play this game, and remember to waste resources is to die. Happy climbing!

This has become something I play regularly, it is difficult in a way that seems unfair but every time I die I know exactly what I did wrong and how I could have prevented it. I've only played like 5 hours but this is an arcade game of the same feel as donkey kong and I generally play a run every time I'm gaming as a warmup or because I want a challenge. I haven't made it past the hatchery, but I've tried a couple of hundred times and will continue to do so. This game is worth the money, challenging to an absurd degree, and different every time you play also the music is amazing and pairs well with the game.
Good game, very much worth the price.
Towerclimb is an extremely atmospheric tough climbing game that has a lot of interesting stuff in it. The music is great and the look and feel of the game is incredibly majestic at times and genuinely nerve-wracking at others. The only issues it has is that is only has local multiplayer and no online at all, you can't close the game from ingame if you are in full screen (so you have to alt-tab out and do it that way), and it sometimes has trouble running on newer systems. Otherwise, if you are looking for a tough roguelite platformer with super cool atmosphere, try this one.

If you like fun & challenging games then this could be a rogue like for you! But, keep in mind everyone has their own tastes. Even within specific genres like rogue likes. Not only that some people like platformers where as others do not. Anyways I am 10 hours in (as of writing this), and I am having a blast with this game! Though there was one gripe I had with this game. That is the overall controls. I honestly don't like what they provide for the keyboard, or my controllers (PS4 & XBOX ONE). Like with the controllers they force you to use the joystick, and you can not use the D-Pad natively. Though I did find a solution. That is using using a controller mapping software. Personally I use a software called Xpadder, but feel free to use what ever you want. That is in part why I am writing this review now before I complete the game. As a means to help other players with the game, and to hopefully motivate people to buy it. So don't let the bad native controls stop you from playing since there is a solution! Also the controls are not in the options. So if you are going to heed my words here are the controls. Map them how ever you see fit: Arrow Keys = Movement W = Inventory X = Jump Left Shift = Run C = Throw Space = Navigate Inventory Then there are some hot keys for certain items. A = Jump Potion W = Explosive Potion D = Teleportation Potion A few tips. You have a main inventory. On the corner of the screen you can see which item you have selected. Pressing throw does just that, and will throw the item from your inventory. But, if you hold shift while you do this you will pull out, and hold said items instead. That is as long as you continue to hold that button. If you let go of the button you let go of the item. Also you can store items that you are grabbing by pressing throw. From what I can tell the attack/use button, for a held weapon/item (Grappling Hook to give you an example), is the same as jump. So you have to jump first, and then press jump a second time, in the air, to use said weapon/item. Or, like with a sword, you can also just hold the jump button, and your character will use it after a moment goes by. Now when you simply press jump your character will jump high up, but you can only go so far forward. If you hold run your character will jump forward a greater distance, but not as high. There is a little secret around this. Just press both buttons at the same time, and you will combine them. There are certain jumps that are far out, and high up. Normally you won't be able to make these jumps. But, by pressing run, and jump together you should be able to. There are dark blue/purple berries in the game. When your character walks into them they consume them, and you will see a purple gas coming from your character. You can only have three of these at a time. If you grab a fourth one your character will explode. Now here is a tip to try to mitigate the risk of using up an extra jump by accident. When you climb to the corner of an edge you have to press jump to get up, and over. Again, sometimes your character will use one of these jump berries when you do this... So here is the tip. If you jump to a ledge, and your character is up high enough, you can simply walk to the top without pressing the jump button. Now, after trying this, if your character does not walk up, and over, here is what you do. Do not jump while pressing up, but rather press forward in the direction your character is facing. Also hold the button, and do not press it. Doing this should help mitigate the risk of using a jump berry by accident. Also, one last thing. If your character is grabbing the edge properly they will bend outwards, with an arch. When they are doing this you should be able to hold on without having to press anything. This is when you want to press the jump button. But, even then sometimes your character can still waste a jump. Lastly you can throw a held item downwards, when jumping, to gain a little extra height. You can use this to reach ledges, and areas above, that are just a little bit out of normal reach. In case you are curious here are my personal bindings. I have placed the Jump Potion to L1. Then the Explosive Potion to R1. And, the Teleportation Potion to circle. Lastly R2 is my throw button, and L2 is Space so that I can navigate my inventory, and menus more easily. Well I hope this helps some of you!
a masterpiece
I can't get past the Conservatory, I love it. 10/10 will climb again!
