Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Use your typewriter to construct armies, build villages and defeat miscreants across a sprawling tactical campaign dotted with big gameplay surprises.
This quest will challenge veteran strategists and newcomers alike. But I believe in you, Paul! You know what they say: the keyboard is mightier than the sword.
Conquer your opponent's Village by commanding armies of Swordsmen, Archers, Spearmen and Cavalry, with Golems and Catapults thrown in for extra carnage.
Acquire gold by hiring Workers to mine and farm. Grow and enhance your forces by spending gold on unit upgrades and buildings such as Stables, Barracks and Spearhuts.
Engage in melee and ranged combat, making tactical decisions based on unit types, army size, and which routes lay ahead. Deal bonus damage by charging down the enemy or flanking them in a pincer movement.
Use nifty spells that grant you an edge, adding an Ink Factory to unlock advanced magic like Teleport and Plague.
Throw away your mouse. Go on, cast it into the fire — for you control the entirety of Touch Type Tale with your keyboard. Type to construct buildings. Type to mine gold from ore deposits. Naturally, beloved Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent is the voice of this ripping yarn. Our story's hero, Paul, is just a humble wizard's apprentice trying to avoid sorting someone else's toenail collection. Submerge yourself in a vivid fantasy world and discover how Paul became Minsteria's greatest hero — and never touched a toenail again.

Developed by Pumpernickel Studio and published by Mythwright, Touch Type Tale - Strategic Typing is an inventive blend of real-time strategy and keyboard-based gameplay that successfully transforms typing into the primary method of commanding an army. Instead of selecting units with a mouse and issuing traditional commands, every important action depends on accurately typing words and commands under pressure. The result is a game that feels both fresh and rewarding, combining the excitement of strategy with the satisfaction of improving a practical real-world skill. Rather than presenting typing as a classroom exercise, the game integrates it naturally into an engaging fantasy adventure that constantly challenges players to think quickly while maintaining accuracy. The single-player campaign follows Paul, an ordinary young man who becomes an unexpected hero after his homeland is threatened by conflict. The narrative embraces a lighthearted medieval fantasy atmosphere filled with amusing dialogue, memorable characters, and plenty of humorous moments that prevent the story from becoming overly serious. The campaign maintains a pleasant balance between storytelling and gameplay, ensuring that the narrative provides enough motivation without interrupting the strategic action. The inclusion of narration by Academy Award-winning actor Jim Broadbent adds extra charm, giving important scenes personality and making the adventure feel more polished than many independent strategy games. At its heart, Touch Type Tale revolves around managing settlements, gathering resources, expanding infrastructure, training military forces, and defeating enemy armies through typing alone. Players must quickly assign workers, construct buildings, recruit soldiers, and activate abilities by entering words accurately, creating an unusual blend of mechanical skill and tactical planning. Fast typing alone is not enough to guarantee success, however. Efficient resource management, smart unit positioning, and careful decision-making remain just as important as keyboard speed, making every battle a satisfying exercise in multitasking. The strategic mechanics offer surprising depth throughout the campaign. Players gradually unlock a diverse roster of military units, including infantry, cavalry, ranged forces, siege weapons, and powerful magical constructs, each designed to fulfill different battlefield roles. Expanding settlements through specialized structures allows access to stronger armies and magical abilities, encouraging players to balance economic growth with military production. Spells introduce another tactical layer by offering tools that can quickly alter the flow of combat, rewarding players who adapt their strategies instead of relying on repetitive tactics. Mission variety is one of the game's strongest qualities. Rather than repeating the same objectives, the campaign constantly introduces new mechanics and creative scenarios that keep the experience engaging. Alongside traditional strategy missions are imaginative typing-focused diversions, including rhythm challenges, cooking sequences, arcade-inspired battles, and other unexpected gameplay styles. These moments provide welcome variety while reinforcing the central concept that typing can support many different genres beyond standard educational software. Outside the campaign, online multiplayer extends the game's replay value by allowing players to compete against others in strategic typing battles. Every match becomes a test of composure, tactical awareness, and keyboard proficiency as opponents race to build economies and command armies more efficiently. Competitive play naturally rewards continued improvement, while leaderboards provide additional motivation for players who enjoy mastering both strategy and typing speed. One of the game's most appealing aspects is that its educational value never overshadows its entertainment. As players spend more time managing armies and completing increasingly difficult missions, they naturally improve typing accuracy, finger coordination, and overall keyboard confidence. Adjustable difficulty settings make the experience welcoming for beginners while still offering meaningful challenges for experienced typists. Support for multiple languages also broadens accessibility, allowing players from different regions to benefit from the game's unique approach. The presentation complements the gameplay beautifully. Bright, colorful visuals create an inviting fantasy world filled with expressive characters and detailed environments, while smooth animations make it easy to follow hectic battles despite the constant stream of typing commands. The soundtrack maintains an energetic atmosphere throughout the campaign, and the sound design provides satisfying feedback for successful actions. The interface is thoughtfully organized, ensuring players can quickly understand battlefield information without unnecessary clutter. An additional highlight is the integration with Twitch, which allows viewers to participate directly by typing commands during livestreams. This feature transforms ordinary broadcasts into interactive community events where audiences can influence gameplay in entertaining ways. It is a creative addition that perfectly matches the game's central theme and helps distinguish it from more conventional strategy titles. Touch Type Tale - Strategic Typing proves that innovation can flourish by combining familiar genres in unexpected ways. Its imaginative typing mechanics, enjoyable campaign, strategic depth, varied mission design, multiplayer functionality, educational benefits, and polished presentation come together to create an experience unlike almost anything else on Steam. While players unfamiliar with typing or real-time strategy may need some time to adjust, those willing to embrace its learning curve will discover a rewarding and highly original game that delivers both entertainment and genuine skill development.
nice
The game is incredibly well thought out and polished, has a funny story and helps you learn to type faster. Can only recommend it
this game is seriously underrated. unique artstyle, cool typing gimmick and clearly shown love this game was made with - im so glad i purchased it after playing demo. thank you so much for developing this game :>
OMG! SO MUCH FUN! Enough fun cut scenes to feel more like a story VS a typing game. There is LOTS of typing tho so if your not comfortable with the keyboard you may have issues. Ran into a few really difficult levels that took me a few times to play through but otherwise fast moving story line!
Ein Spiel, was man seinen Kindern in die Hand drücken könnte, um tippen zu lernen. Sehr gut!
