Total War: SHOGUN 2

The greatest total war game I've played so far has to be Shogun 2. It's highly optimised (especially for mac), and the base game has a lot of options to have a fun time with unlike later tw titles. I set all my graphic settings as high as possible and still runs really smooth. Fall of the samurai and rise of the samurai are really well made expansions of the boshin war and genpei war. For some reason I crash a lot more often playing rots than fots, I have never experienced a crash or any technical issues in fots which I find a bit confusing but oh well. Get the game on sale, it went down to 4 pounds (if i remember correctly) with most of the dlc selling for a quid each. My only criticisms are that there was no expansion to Korea or Ryukyu and that the naval battles in rots and the base game are frustrating (though it's historically accurate in that sense lmao).

Ridiculous fun. You need to force proton and the Linux edition in properties to get it to work on Linux, but it is otherwise fantastic.

buy games with steam wont let me install with disks, once again wasted money, never buy steam games
