lowkey love this game its one of my favorites and if your a nerd like me im sure you will find it fun big thanks you my friend for gifting it to me for Christmas it had been on my wishlist for a long time.
Works great on steam deck!
I LOVE THIS GAME! I wonder if generals in 18th century had this game for practice how history would have changed! I'd recommend y'all Microsoft copilot as your court member or have someone to talk and discuss your ambitious strategies with , it increases the fun that way!

Give this game a swerve, it has not aged well, the naval battles are bugged and the land battles are bugged. The only way to really play this game on the hardest settings is to exploit the absolutely crap AI, for some reason all your troops will just run away the second they get attacked by enemy troops, even if they are superior. Literally the worst AI I have ever encountered in a game, the sheer amount of times your troops don't do what you ask, I have had so many game ending/battle ending moves happen because the AI just does the opposite of what you ask. The naval battles and land battles are still some of the best you will ever have, but its probably 10% of them, the other 90%, prepare to have your troops run in the opposite direction, your cannons shred your own troops, your muskets shred your cavarly despite them being nowhere near them. Enemy troops seem so overpowered which is just dumb. Why cant we just have a battle on an even playing field instead of having to overwhelm the enemy?
A spiffing place to teach those dirty colonials what for and ensure that Britania Rules Supreme, Hip Hip Huzzah!!
8/10 One of the greats of TW. I enjoy this game immensely, but the feeling of the previous games was somehow lost from this point forward. The soul seemed to be lost after this one. This has some interesting new mechanics and the fact we can go global is incredible. Having India take over the Americas and then the Middle East, then Europe cannot be experienced in many other games. The DLC was a ripoff, don't buy it. My favorite DLC was the Gurkhas, as they are scimitar wielding lunatics that get blasted by even militia. Why did I pay extra for this? This was the beginning of TW's greed when it came to DLC units. Unfortunately, it didn't stop at units and is now entire factions in their games, where we used to would just go into a text file and unlock them... smh. Oh well, this game, overall, is good if not somewhat disappointing at times with some of the choices they made. I prefer the older games to this "upgrade". But, line infantry is VERY satisfying to use and the modding community has made some absolute bangers.
Это класика исторической игры. Жаль что разработка новых игр пошла немного по пути культмасовому направлению. Возможно в будующем эта игра станет эталоном для более продвинутой версии с похожей логикой открытых сражений и сценариев развития. Старенькая но актуальная.
