For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About
Tormentum II is a dark, surreal point-and-click adventure with elements of psychological horror. Explore a hand-drawn world, solve puzzles, and make morally ambiguous choices that shape the fates of the characters you meet. It tells a new, standalone story, so no knowledge of the original game is required.

You play as David, who is building a simulation populated by beings capable of human-level thought. Every night, he dreams of a locked chest and hears a woman's voice calling to him. When an anonymous seller offers him a mysterious coprocessor, parts of the dream begin to surface while he is awake.
David installs the new hardware. He wakes in a prison on an island surrounded by open sea. Somehow, he is inside his own simulation.

David remembers little about how he arrived. He soon discovers that his creation contains layers he never designed and has a will he cannot control.
The inhabitants speak of gods, beings that come from distant places and disappear just as suddenly.
To find a way home, David must cross the islands, explore the unfamiliar layers of his creation, and discover why it no longer obeys him. Explore each location at your own pace. Conversations and puzzles gradually reveal more about the simulation.
Your choices shape the fates of the characters David meets. There is rarely an obvious right answer, and your decisions lead to multiple endings.
Point-and-click exploration and puzzles across multiple surreal islands.
Choices with consequences that shape the fates of the characters you meet and lead to multiple endings.
200 hand-drawn scenes. Dedicated close-ups bring the total to nearly 500 individual background images, roughly three times as many as in the original game.
Surreal art inspired by H. R. Giger's biomechanical forms and the desolate worlds painted by Zdzisław Beksiński.
6 to 9 hours of gameplay, depending on your pace.
A dark, atmospheric soundtrack with occasional heavier passages influenced by metal.
A complete, standalone story. No knowledge of the original game is required.

We spent almost eight years making Tormentum II. The core development team consists of two people: Piotr Ruszkowski and Łukasz Rutkowski, both of whom helped create the original Tormentum: Dark Sorrow.

It's somewhat short and the puzzles are very easy. The game overall was considerably easier than Tormentum 1. For such a dark setting and premise, the inner monologue is written rather naively and David is just a self-insert. Despite this, the game was fun, though I played it more for the art. I want to support the authors so I bought it full-price, but realistically, I'd have found €9.99 fair.
Game purchased on the day it's released and the first run finished after 10.6 hours It’s worthy of all the waiting! As a fan of Tormentum Dark Sorrow, I would say this sequel exceeds in many aspects, especially storytelling — which is among the rank of some of the best visual novels. When I put this in my Wishlist in 2020, I only expected a short ‘DLC-like’ game for TDS. Six years later, what we have is an epic. Needless to say is the art. There is only one thing I am not truly happy with: Fans, please stop saying that the games are Giger- or Beksinski-like. It’s the Tormentum style itself! (and we need more games with a Tormentum-like style!) As a fan of point-and-click adventure games, Tormentum II has some good gameplay mechanics. The sea travel makes everything more immersive. And the ‘friends’ add some magic — They are not the ‘friends’ in traditional RPG or adventure games who only do meaningless chats. These roles are believable, just like the people you will unexpectedly meet and reappear in your hour of need. What I like the most is the final words from the ending. Thank you, the developers, for sticking to your journey (in this game-making)

As a huge fan of the first Tormentum, I hurried home from work to play this on the release day, after having played the demo earlier this month. And man, did it deliver! Like its predecessor, Tormentum 2 is a ridiculously gorgeous point and click game, that has macabre beauty and atsmophere dripping down the walls, which fits the story and themes perfectly. Tormentum 2 feels bigger than the first one - both in its universe and its story - in a way that makes sense and ties in nicely with the first game. Like with the first game, your choices are weighed and measured - in Tormentum 2, this is also the case, but impacts the game in a slightly different but still similar way than in the first game. Tormentum 2 is a visually beautiful narrative adventure experience, it doesn't rely on too many puzzles - it is truly the artwork, story and overall atmosphere that makes it great. Like with the first one, I can see myself coming back to it often to experience its beauty and story.
Tormentum 2 is a deep psychological story in an incredibly macabre setting that really gets under your skin. Well-presented, well-written, and featuring impactful choice & consequence. The atmosphere is heavily contaminated, and citizens are required to wear oxygen masks and protective gear to survive a small stroll in the streets. It is a grim state of affairs as the population is mostly confined to their indoor habitats. But one software developer, named David, has been working on this simulation based on his wild imagination to escape the harsh reality of the world he finds himself living in. You are about to explore David's creativity in Tormentum II. Tormentum II is a dark fantasy point-and-click adventure game developed and self-published by OhNoo Studio on the 24th of July 2026 on the Steam platform. Although I have the previous game, Tormentum, in my Steam library, I never got around to playing it. So, it is pretty much my first experience playing a game from OhNoo Studio. As a Swiss person, I am well acquainted with the work of H.R. Giger, especially as a fan of the Alien movie franchise; H.R.Giger was the mind behind the Xenomorph. On that subject, if you travel to Switzerland in the near future, make sure to visit the Alien Bar at the Château Saint-Germain in the town of Gruyères, also conceived by Mr Giger; I had a beer there 25 years ago. On the other hand, I’m not familiar with the works of Zdzisław Beksiński, but after viewing some of his artwork online, I can see the surrealist aspect. The game visuals really capture both artists' works by creating a strange, gothic fantasy atmosphere that keeps your eyes entertained from start to finish. The developers blend the story, the visuals and the atmosphere very cleverly. I like the fact that they have included some choice-matter elements; there are not many of them, but enough to make you think about which path David should take next. It also provides multiple types of endings; I have completed one of them; I am not sure how many there are. It definitely gives the game greater replayability, and if you’re like me, you really want to find another ending because the game is so unique. The core mechanism feels more like a hidden-object game than a classic point-and-click adventure game. What I mean by that is that the point-and-click is more focused on finding objects and interacting with NPC's in each of the places you visit, rather than clicking to move David around; he actually stays on one side of the screen while you try to scan the area. I don't mind it at all; that type of play fits the game very well. In terms of the puzzles, they’re a bit too easy for my liking. I don't mean it’s a bad thing; I prefer not being stuck in one place for hours, but I do like a bit more bite in my puzzles. To give you an example, David will need to visit different islands in his adventure, and he'll need to revisit some of those islands a couple of times to progress further. Still, it’s like it is handed to you on a plate rather than you needing to figure out or remember where to go next. I would have loved to have more of those predicaments. You do get this early on in the game when you access the map for the first time, which has a few islands to sail to and see which one gets you to the next stage. As you progress, a few other islands will appear on the map, but you'll be prompted to visit them next to go further into the story. I enjoyed my first playthrough, and I’m looking forward to reaching another ending. I might wait a little bit before playing it again, as the story is still fresh in my memory and I need space before replaying it. It is a good and unique game. In terms of how long it will take you to complete it, probably between 10 and 12 hours. Positives: ~~~~~~~ + Sensational visuals inspired by artists H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński + Interesting story, to say the least + Incredible atmosphere, which is amplified by eerie sound effects and music all the way through + I like the choice matter elements + Multiple ending, which provides good replayability + Well thought-out puzzles + Achievements Negatives: ~~~~~~~~ - Although the puzzles were well thought-out, I found them too easy for my liking - I would have preferred to more challenge when deciding what to do or where to go next rather than being shown the way - No trading cards as yet Tormentum II’s visuals and atmosphere are amazing; they give the game a unique feel. If you are a fan of point-and-click games and HOG, give it a try. 7/10 Note: Key provided by the developer/publisher through my Steam Curator groups for review purposes. Like its predecessor, Tormentum II is a richly atmospheric experience blending eerie sound work with macabre visuals. It is not a title to be played if you’re in a depressed mindset, as all the suffering you witness can be unnerving. It does give you plenty of reason to care, however, and keeps you constantly guessing what is and isn’t real. There are more puzzles to solve this time, and your choices will stick with you until the credits roll, making you sure to wonder if what you did was the right thing. I very much enjoyed the original game, but it’s been quite some time since I played it to offer a proper comparison. However, both series newcomers and fellow fans of the first Tormentum should find lots here to enjoy, as OhNoo Studios clearly took what they learned from that game to create a masterpiece of surrealism the second time around. https://adventuregamehotspot.com/review/7027/tormentum-ii
Tormentum II is a dark and atmospheric point-and-click adventure game with an interesting story about a surreal computer-simulated world. The game has absolutely amazing visuals. The biomechanical art style is definitely one of my favorite things about the game. The combination of flesh, metal, machines, and disturbing creatures looks really cool. The locations are highly detailed, and the character designs are really cool. Also, I have to mention great soundtracks and interesting puzzles, which were fun without being too difficult. The game takes around 7–8 hours to complete, but it has replay value. Different choices can lead to different events and different endings. Definitely looking forward to the next game! Tormentum II — 90 minutes in and already gripped! Thanks Dev for this wonderful game that I am really enjoying. Woke up in a prison on a remote island, trapped inside a nightmare world I apparently built myself — and that hook alone had me leaning in. This is a hand-drawn, dark fantasy point-and-click with real psychological horror undertones, and the Giger/Beksiński-inspired art is genuinely impressive — every scene is packed with fine detail, like each background took real time and care to paint. The puzzles have been a highlight too — there are a lot of them, and some are legitimately challenging, not just filler to pad playtime. I've only explored a couple of islands so far, but the choices already feel weighty, with nothing clearly right or wrong, hinting at different endings down the line. Standalone story, no prior game required, and so far it's earning every bit of its dark reputation. Excited to keep going.
As a big fan of the first game, I kept hearing about a sequel and finally it has arrived and I really enjoyed it. The art and story style continue the excellence from the first and I enjoy the point & click gameplay. Very Excellent. Recommend.
It's a positive review in advance, buuuuut... Every game from this dev has been incredible. From what I've seen in the demo, this one is on the same level. The art is gorgeous, the atmosphere is there, and the sound is on point. I'll update this review when I finish the game.
