This game is really fun and easy... I've rarely played shooting games in my life because I'm so bad at it 😭😭💔 But this game is not too difficult for me, and ummmm to be honest, I played literally EVERY games from Team [Four Fats Limited] 👉🏼❤️🔥👈🏼 I love your games sooooo much and I played <Maximus 1>, <Blackmoor 1> and <Super Boys - The Big Fight> when I used my very first iPhone in my life... I know it's not desirable to write this comment down here, but I'd like <Blackmoor 2> to be released in a steam version as well 🥺🙏🏼❤️ I already played & playing <Blackmoor 2> in my Galaxy phone but I wanna playing it by PC... that's my little wish just like <Maximus 2> guys! 🥰🥰 I sincerely sorry & thanks for your reading until here, and love you guys!! I'm your game series huge fan from S. Korea!! ❤️❤️ Take care and be careful from Covid-19!!
A review copy was provided by the developer.
🔶 Toon Shooters 2: The Freelancers is a short cartoon shoot them up, defeat enemies & boss in 15 different short levels 🔶 Simple graphics, but work well with the overall cartoon design of the game, many different atmosphere (space, city, volcano …) Simple gameplay, an auto fire button, you can hold the button for a charged attack, and can use a limited special attack depending of your characters (multiples missiles for examples) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3366128578 Each level ends with a boss fight, each has his own pattern and weak spot https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3366129062 Game could be both played with a keyboard, a gamepad or only with mouse. Money collected on the level let you get upgrade and others pets for additional power, while Xp let you get level up, so more power & hp https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3366128877 8 different playable character, but each upgrade and level-xp only apply on 1 character, so you mainly play only with 1 unique character. Game cost 2€ and take around 1.5 hours for main complexion, 15 short levels, pretty short game but comprehensible since the game is really cheap. About optimization, nothing to say here, no problem at all, and the game only takes 200mb of size, so must work for every config (was an original flash game) Overall, Toon Shooters 2: The Freelancers is a short cheap cartoon shoot them up, pretty pleasant to play, recommended for his low price 💚💚💚 : - Good gameplay, with upgrade and level-up system - Each level have his own design and atmosphere, each boss are also pretty different - Cheap price ❌❌❌ : - Really short - Upgrade don’t carry from a character from another (need to re-start from beginning in case of character change)
Follow IndieGems for more reviews like this one. This is a sequel to the nifty fun game I played on Kongregate like ten years ago. Upgrades, few newer characters and maps, and still a comic MP mode. Feels more of a nostalgia trip.
- Fun gameplay. Tight control (it works fine with X360 controller). - Nice graphics, if you like cartoony style. It's crisp, colorful, and clean. You don't lose track of what's happening on screen. - There are a decent variety of ships to upgrade and items to buy. The replay value is good considering its price. - Minor cons. They did a poor job at explaining upgrades (but it's not too hard to guess) and you can't adjust audio volume in-game.
We enjoyed this game. My wife and I played it only once... and we were hooked for over 3 hours without realizing it! The game is fast paced, hard but not too hard (don't forget to buy upgrades for your character) and there are already players online! Wow! We could have been playing it even longer if we didn't suddenly arrive into a creepy level with ghosts called "The Temple of Evil" or something like that. I really liked the space boss fighting part, but I really hate that occult vibe that all those games are trying to push all the time. You see, I am a Christian, it means that I repented of my sins, asked forgiveness to God and made Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. So when I see a game that takes the name of the Lord in vain or has magic and dark stuff in it, I put it down and never pick it up again. In conclusion: I enjoyed playing this game! It could easily be sold for 10 times it's price and still be worth buying. Sadly, it later levels bother my conscience.
The visuals are good and also the gameplay.
Fun!
