A kind of match 4 puzzle for dungeon keepers, Tomb of Tyrants is a fun short term distraction when you only have a little bit of time to waste or you want a palate cleanser between meatier titles. The game goes quickly but there is constant progression in a kind of roguelite sort of way. Balancing managing the dungeon with solving the puzzle that grants you powers is a constant struggle. I just don't pause enough (spacebar) to plan very far ahead. A calmer person might not have as much trouble with getting defeated by managing their minions better, but even so I have a blast every time I play.
An absolutely incredible mix of "match-4" puzzle gaming with tactics and strategy. Super, super, super fun and addictive as you unlock new rooms to work through several development paths to get new creatures to get new abilities to set up great combos of minions to set up the ultimate defense against those pesky heroes :)

Fantastic game, dripping with style. Great example of committing to a feel and art direction. Loved it years ago, revisited to snap up those last tricky achievements and had just as much fun.
A poorly executed mess of game. How do you mess up a match 4 to get resources and then build stuff game? Some how they figured out how to do that.
I tried, just didn't enjoy it
The game is kind of boring. I've played 10 minutes and don't want to play any more. Refunding. Visuals are hard to understand: it says "meddle" where it means "options"; the text is intentionally pixelated but that makes it harder to read; lots of visual clutter is going on that you don't really need to pay attention to in addition to the lots that is going on that you do need to pay attention to. The gameplay is more tedious than fun. The tutorial is long-winded and unhelpful. You're probably better off just getting in and playing. Nothing it says is unexpected in the least.
Love the art, love the feel. Perfect meld. Sound design +++
I must have been drunk as I bought this game.
The two halves of the game don't mesh together well often requiring you to pause the game to micromanage. It's an interesting idea but the poor tutorial and busy UI take a while to decipher.
Meh
