About
It’s just a red tomato wearing a silly hat. He tries to look like a cool tomb raider, rolling and jumping across the maps. Help him find all the treasures in the mystic castle, or watch him meet a variety of painful ends.
Tomato Jones 2 is the sequel to the immensely fun predecessor, Tomato Jones, which is already available on Steam.
This physics-based puzzle/adventure game combines classic RPG platforming gameplay with the skill-driven style of ball-rolling games. Your goal is to collect all the coins and the hidden golden artifact at the end of each level while avoiding various dangerous traps, obstacles, and enemies.
The game captures the spirit of Indiana Jones movies while aiming to be as funny and humorous as possible.

30 beautiful and challenging levels (10 more than its predecessor)
Stunning "soft body" tomato physics and significantly improved graphics
Many new and dangerous traps
Innovative camera movement and viewing angles
Completely new world map with areas to explore
Fun soundtrack and sound effects
Multiple funny hats to choose from
Tons of ketchup
And hey.. you can still drive mine carts! 😉

Tomato Jones 2 is harder than its predecessor, and we highly recommend playing the first game, Tomato Jones, as well.

There were bananas, there were apples, there were cucumbers, there were cats, there were dogs. Now there are tomatoes too
Tomato Jones 2 is a quirky and lighthearted platformer that doesn’t try to be anything more than what it is: a physics-based, Indiana Jones-inspired romp starring a tomato in a top hat. Developed by HA Studio Ltd. and published by SA Industry, the game is a sequel to the original Tomato Jones, and while it doesn’t dramatically overhaul the formula, it expands on the core ideas in meaningful and entertaining ways. It’s a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and its offbeat humor, mixed with some cleverly designed platforming levels, gives it a unique place among indie titles on Steam. The game’s premise is ridiculous in the best way. You play as a soft-bodied tomato navigating dangerous traps, rolling across rickety platforms, dodging swinging blades, and collecting coins—all while searching for a golden artifact at the end of each level. It’s clear from the outset that Tomato Jones 2 was designed to be funny, unpredictable, and occasionally infuriating. The game leans heavily into physics-driven mechanics, so momentum, weight, and rolling inertia all factor into how your tomato reacts to the environment. At times, this makes for thrilling, edge-of-your-seat moments. At other times, it leads to unexpected deaths and slapstick falls that, while frustrating, often result in laughter more than anger. Level design is one of the game’s stronger suits. With 30 stages, the game steadily increases in complexity and introduces new obstacles and gimmicks to keep the experience fresh. Early levels are straightforward and serve as a tutorial for basic movement and trap avoidance. But by the midway point, things ramp up considerably, and you'll be dealing with timed puzzles, collapsing bridges, moving platforms, and deadly contraptions that require careful timing. The game’s difficulty is uneven at times, but it never feels unfair. Even when the tomato meets a grisly end (often involving spikes, boulders, or lava), the generous checkpoint system and fast respawns keep frustration in check. Every level also includes coins and one golden artifact to collect, adding an optional layer of challenge for completionists. The humor in Tomato Jones 2 is perhaps its most defining characteristic. From exaggerated ragdoll deaths to the overuse of ketchup splatter effects, the game has a kind of juvenile charm that’s hard not to appreciate. The tomato itself can wear different hats, a cosmetic touch that serves no real gameplay function but adds to the game’s whimsical tone. The environments are bright and colorful, and the art style, while simple, fits perfectly with the game’s overall mood. There’s a deliberate cartoonish quality to everything—from the animation of the traps to the bounce of the character—that helps the game land its jokes and makes the experience consistently enjoyable, even when the mechanics falter. The sound design is similarly lighthearted. The background music changes with each zone and complements the game’s adventurous spirit, while the effects are exaggerated and playful. Every bounce, splat, or trap activation is emphasized with a satisfying sound that makes the game feel more alive. It’s not a soundtrack that sticks with you long after playing, but it serves its purpose well within the game’s short runtime. Performance-wise, Tomato Jones 2 runs smoothly on just about any system. The game is lightweight and doesn’t require powerful hardware, making it accessible to a wide range of players. It’s compatible with Windows 7 and later, and the system requirements are minimal. There are no major bugs or technical issues, and the controls—though intentionally slippery due to the physics-based movement—respond reliably. The camera system has been redesigned from the first game and is much more dynamic now, following the player’s movement with smoother transitions that make gameplay more intuitive. Reception among players has been mostly positive. On Steam, the game holds a “Very Positive” rating with a majority of players praising its creativity, charm, and value—especially considering the low price point. It’s a small game, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a fun, ridiculous, and occasionally challenging physics platformer with a silly premise and enough personality to stand out. The community seems to appreciate its self-awareness and goofy aesthetic, and many players have noted that it’s a perfect game to unwind with for a few hours. Tomato Jones 2 is not a deep or mechanically complex game, and it doesn’t try to be. It’s short, straightforward, and built around a gimmick—but it embraces that gimmick fully, delivering an experience that’s surprisingly polished for such a small title. The physics can sometimes feel imprecise, and the tomato’s movement is intentionally clumsy, which may not be to everyone’s taste. However, for those who enjoy quirky indie platformers and can appreciate the absurdity of a sentient tomato navigating death traps in search of treasure, this is a game worth picking up. In the end, Tomato Jones 2 succeeds by knowing exactly what it is. It’s a charming, physics-driven platformer that offers just the right balance of challenge and comedy. Whether you’re drawn in by the novelty of a tomato-shaped hero, or you’re just looking for a low-stakes game to pass the time, it delivers a consistently amusing and occasionally brilliant little adventure. It may not reinvent the platforming genre, but it’s content being the tomato-flavored chaos it was born to be. Rating: 8/10
