Cricket Captain 2025

It's been four years since i bought a version and i'm glad i bought this one. I did read the reviews and had strong concerns about the "names" issue. After doing some research the "names" issues is a five minute fix. The gameplay is great. The sound design is fantastic. The engine is running BMW smooth. I'm glad they have listened to the fans and finally put in an editor. The database is another herculean effort and i've had plenty to say over the years regarding the franchise i feel they've achieved something special with this version. Carry on chaps!

In my opinion, Cricket Captain 2025 is without a doubt the best instalment yet. The UI overhaul gives everything a fresh, modern feel—menus are clearer, screens load faster, and getting around the game is a breeze. The revamped T20 mode is a game-changer: scoring’s up, matches move at a thrilling pace, and it strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and challenge (goodbye, slogging through impossible sims!). After years of waiting, the player editor has finally arrived. Licensing was a big deal—they had to strip out around 400 real players—but there’s a quick editnames.txt workaround that brings all those names right back in seconds. All told, I’m having more fun than I have in years with a Cricket Captain release. If you’ve been on the fence, this one’s well worth diving into.

Terrible game, Very hard to win on easy difficulty and overall not a good experience. I've put hundreds of hours into CC from the 2014 game and this feel the least authentic and that's not even putting in the unlicensed teams, I shouldn't have to download a file into my folder to get real names, death of a franchise

Improves upon previous versions in many ways. The UI is overhauled and an improvement. T20 feels slightly more realistic, and the player editor allows users to experiment with greater freedom. Well done to the devs!

these games do the job but are the biggest scam 43.95AUD per year for mid game thats super niche is greedy

Annoying as the name changes are, it was such an easy fix. Aside from a different looking UI, not much has changed in terms of gameplay aside from the regular updates to players, leagues, stats. The one significant change is definitely the player editor. This is a welcome change that allows for favourite players to become viable, increase in opponent skill level, etc. This one change alone makes this the best version of the game to date.

I had a couple of years without playing so this one felt like the right time to upgrade. I think this version is excellent, the game feels more balanced- in the short formats most of all - and the player editor is excellent and was a much needed addition

solid improvement on past games. the new ui is great and was a much needed change to refresh the game a bit. player editor is basic but is much appreciated for little tweaks and for quite big changes aswell hopefully in the future it only gets better and more "complicated". overall rating 9.5/10 out of any year to buy this series this is definitely the year i would recommend
