About
In 'To Grant A Wish' you play as a Minor Deity, whose presence has been fading due to a lack of worship. One day, you receive an offering on your shrine that grants you more power than you have had in a century, and you set out, determined to grant their wish.
Unfortunately, this isn't quite so simple as it seems...
The Player Character: Zephyr (Name Changeable)

Minor Deity of the Breeze. The player character is kind and playful, if a bit out of touch with society.
There are three versions, each with three different skin tone options, for a total of 9 possible MC's.
The Characters:
Bells: (They/Them)
Bells VA: Brandon P Jenkins and Kirsty Woolven

A cheerful and friendly traveller who makes their living as a dancer. They are almost never seen without their curious mouse companion Chimes. They seem perfectly happy, so what has lead to them making a wish at your shrine?
Chimes
Chimes VA: Noah Belachew
Leo/Sam: (Leo: He/Him and Sam: She/Her.)
Leo VA: Nicholas Contreras + Sam VA: Whitney Holland

A tired and over-worked older sibling who is trying their best for their little brother. What has got them so stressed? And perhaps more importantly, is there anything you can do to help?
Oscar
Oscar VA: Allison Man

The excitable younger brother of Leo/Sam. He is enraptured by pirates, especially the brave Captain Fin. What's got him so concerned about his older sibling that he makes a wish at your shrine?
Lorelei/Callen: (Lorelei: (She/Her) and Callen: He/Him)
Lorelei VA: EvelynnDE and Callen VA: Marlon Dance-Hooi

A responsible and hard-working young person who claims that they won't allow anyone to dictate their fate anymore. What were they praying for then, when they visited your shrine?
Recommended Route Order:
There is no strict route order, however I personally recommend Bells (Purple Bracelet) -> Lorelei/Callen (Fur Tuft Necklace) -> Leo/Sam (Shark Pirate Toy) as certain elements might be more meaningful if you have seen certain parts of the other routes.
Features:
Selectable appearance and deity pronouns for the player character (God/Goddess/Deity).
Custom name for the player character (voiced names below).
150k words for an estimated 12-15 hours of playtime.
Over ten pursuable characters (not including alternate versions such as Leo/Sam or Lorelei/Callen), with more to come.
Over 75+ CG's.
A range of adorable dog-themed logo screens, picked randomly when you launch the game.

Being a Deity of the Breeze should be…well…a breeze. Until one day someone offers you more power than ever before but granting their wish in return may not be so easy.
The Story & Gameplay
You're a minor deity of the breeze but have begun to fade due to no one remembering to worship you anymore. Until one day someone leaves a large offering at your shrine giving you more power than you’ve ever had before. However, granting their wish may not be so easy. Who you interact with (the person who leaves the important offering at the start) is one of three characters and you decide whose story you wish to engage with first, be it Bells, Leo/Sam or Lorelei/Callen. The gender of these characters is decided at the start of the game before you start playing. The main character (you) can change their name and choose from a variety of appearances and skin tones. The game offers 10 possible pursuable characters, and whose ending you discover will be dependent on which characters/genders you pick at the start to interact with. You can replay the game and switch up the starting characters to see their story-lines. The story is broken up into small chapters. My first play-through took me roughly 2.5 hours to complete. It depends on how fast you read (and I am a pretty fast reader) so some may find it takes longer or shorter depending. 🌶️ Spice Level & Triggers - spice is pretty mild. There are no graphic or lewd scenes, no nudity. ❗ They mention a few triggers so I will not put a list here but it is at the bottom of the store page to check out. However let me clarify the animal death part, there is a scene where they happen upon a baby griffin with its mother that has passed on. It shows blood under the mothers head (on the ground) but no wounds. It is sad more than violent. The baby is rescued however so it does not end up alone. The dev has reached out and informed me of one other death that happens that is more violent in nature but it is described in text and not shown. It is about a wolf attacking the characters that eventually gets defeated in Lorelei and Callen's route if you want to avoid it.
Settings & Features
Settings & features include; display options, rollback and transition options, skipping text options, audio controls, and text speed. There are plenty of save slots and a gallery of unlock-able cg’s. Also the hud is able to be hidden for taking screencaps by pressing H.
The Visuals & Audio
The music reminds me of tracks you’d hear in classic rpgs, while fitting it does get repetitive at times and there are ambient sounds as well such as animal noises and rain falling scattered throughout. The novel is partially voiced for each character with mostly snippets of small words, sentences or reactions like oohs and ahhs. The volume of the characters voices can also be adjusted in settings. I really enjoy the artwork, besides the concept of the story it was the art that made this game stand out to me. Beautifully illustrated and colourful sprites done up in an anime style. I also enjoyed many of the backgrounds. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3511112264 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3511112441
Overall Experience
This story is very wholesome and magical, the artwork is gorgeous and there are many characters to meet and pursue. However the romantic angle is, well, lacking. I felt I developed more of a deep friendship with my chosen pursuable mate than a romance. Even though at every opportunity I chose the love option. Any kisses, hugs or acts of endearment were described in text rather than shown. However as a story overall it was a good read with a touch of magic and adventure. 💗

Otome Lovers wishes to thank Wizard Raz Studios for providing a free review copy for this game. This is a very cute game all around, and the art is beautiful. It's not a very long experience with each route, but you still have a chance to get attached to all the characters and get to know them well enough. I think the only "downside" I'd mention is that the actual romance aspect of it only really happens briefly, towards the end. So if you're looking for something more fleshed out on that side/romance heavy, then it's probably better to skip it. Otherwise this is definitely worth the play!
I have spent a lot of time reading visual novels in the past and was really proud to help support a game that includes the voice talents of a friend of mine. To Grant A Wish is very sweet, the characters are all likeable and I found everything in the first route I chose to be charming and I really adored the CGs. I'm a fairly fast reader and finished one route in roughly 90 minutes, with many options to go back and explore other routes down the main path I chose. I really enjoyed the game's dedication to player comfort, allowing male/female/androgynous character designs of the protagonist and allowing you to choose a male/female counterpart for every major route. I will be coming back to explore more of the routes and branching paths I missed out on with my first playthrough!
May The Breeze Be With You!
No star wars elements in this visual novel, but you are greeted with a lighthearted positive cheery VN with handful of characters and only partial voice acting. Story: Light and Sweet Do you wonder what it takes to be a goddess? A low ranked one who is going to fade away soon? Well definitely not a happy ending but at the last moment she is saved by a single prayer of passing handsome/beautiful devotee. The goddess wants to grant their wish since they saved her and right off the bat you choose the genders of the characters you want and the style of your goddess. You can either follow the life of two brothers who are in poverty, or a magical mysterious person who is definitely not what you seem them to be and lastly a mysterious energetic person who once faced betrayal. With slow progression and handful of other supporting characters which you can date surprisingly as well, you follow these fantasy stories written well and direct them to meet a happy ending. i think there were more than 6 characters, not all endings are romantic, some are platonic. There are choices hidden which can lead you to a death and you might not even know it. This story is very LGBTQ friendly. I did not appreciate however with the pronounce segment in Bell's route which reminded me of the cringe of Dragon age Veilguard. The story is surprisingly warm and it calms you down on a anxiety prone day or a sad day. I felt however the endings were rushed and did not have much content. Out of all the stories I think I liked Bell's one. There were times that the writing was super sensible. Characters: Memorable I love the characterization done here, some of the characters undergo a significant development like Neptune for an example and Callen. I loved cute Kairos and his surprising identity, size does not mean a thing he represents. I loved Leo a lot, a strong brother who had to take on the father's role for the younger one. Their brotherhood was a beautiful one. Then there is Bells and his pet mouse, yes you can date the magical mouse too (furry friendly). But my utmost favorite guy is Ren, he is freaking hot. The main character the goddess is such a kind sweet figure, she has her companion called the breeze of the air element. She meets sometimes colleagues of hers and queens, cute animal companions along the way. If you are slightly made uncomfortable by polyamorous open relationships there are segments of it and can be avoided if you wanted. Romance between the characters are very very slight, it do not have like 18+ content so very kid friendly I would say. I felt like i needed more romantic scenes with some characters. Gameplay: Modest I think the gameplay is okay, you have a neat option where you can change Bell's appearance many times and anytime you wanted. There is an auto button, there is a fast forward option. You can also choose gender of the characters as you wish, and the gender of your main character. Art and music Now the sprites change so contrastingly in some scenes but it's bearable. The BG art is very nicely drawn. The voice acting is really good and it's a good effort for an indie game. The BG ost are the best, they are chosen so wisely and some of them are so beautiful. I love how the chibi animal sprites were drawn so adorable! Overall A LGBTQ friendly game designed for everyone to play, which will fill you with warmth, happiness and a slight touch of fantasy to the mundane boring world you live in. It's an indie game so for that standard and the gameplay being 10+ hours long I would give a fairy wing.
It's a very cute and small game. I read pretty fast so I got through all three routes in 4 hours including some backtracking to see some variations. The game is incredibly funny and I feel like that will be the main appeal for a lot of potential buyers. Important to mention tho is that you shouldn't expect much romance. It's not really a romance that really affects the story and more simply you choosing a different ending CG with your favourite character in it. Bells' route and Leo/Sam's route are really well polished and I had a blast with them. Bells' being very adventure dnd antics throughout and Leo/Sam's starting off with slice-of-life while ending with a little bit of adventure as well. Lorelei/Callen's route however seemed like a bit of an afterthought. It wasn't bad by any means but the writing is a lot wonkier than in the others. All in all an enjoyable experience and a lot better than some VNs on here with twice the price tag.
9/10
The story paths are okay, yet the main appeal for me was choosing the characters. Though I will admit that I still found myself enjoying the story at some points, yet it will be nice to have more choices that affect the ending. A very nice Visual Novel overall, considering the price.
This is definitely an enjoyable visual novel. It has creative character designs and all 3 main story branches offer interesting stories. While it's not reinventing the wheel when it comes to visual novels, it is well executed and very fun. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good visual novel and I'm looking forward to anything else these creators might end up making.
I only did one playthrough of Bell's route for now, but enjoyed what I've seen so far! The various choices do seem like it will be fun to replay a lot as well, even just in one route.
I found the game very cute and the story sweet. Also glad for allowing to choosing tha appearance and gender of the main character independently.
