To Be A King - Volume 1

I don't have enough thumbs to give TBAK all the "thumbs up" it truly deserves. Let me dispense with the lack of animations immediately -- while I'm sure many, many AVN fans consider animations essential to adult content, every other aspect of TBAK makes animations easy to live without. Anatomy artwork is exquisite and evokes plenty of adult content. The story is intriguing, with enough twists and turns to keep you wondering what will come next. The abundance of truly beautiful women, animated or not, provides a variety of physical attractions not present in lesser titles. There is a surprising breadth and depth of character development in more than just a few main characters, leading to a great level of replayability, even in its unfinished state, focusing on different makeups and limitations on your choice of harem members. While we don't yet know what will result from the "Harem Status" factor, I would like to see more obvious conflicts among harem members (which may be coming in the future). Which brings me to the final recommendation - TBAK is a good GAME! - not just an excuse for adult content. It appears there is still much of the game aspect to be developed and delivered, and I am truly looking forward to that. TBAK is one of the centerpieces of my sizable collection of AVNs and (if it isn't already obvious) I HIGHLY recommend it.

Pretty darn engaging story line. Very slow developing story, which is a bit tedious. But I'm still into the story, so I guess It's working for me.

This is an excellent VN. MC is a roman general called to the capital to make the palace and royal family safe. The king has 3 adult daughters, young and hot. Their choices for sex partners are limited and MC is everyone's choice. MC has spent a lot of time conquering eastern territories where harems are an option. Building and balancing one may be difficult, The game has several political and social differences. MC must navigate the kings daughters, and several other available and powerful women. Plenty of sex and nudity and an interesting story. I highly recommend this VN.

"To be a King," the first part and also Volume 2 Part 1 is a Middle Ages historical period type of Adult Visual Novel (AVN) that has an excellent plot of Royal Court political warfare---All spiced up with a web of romance, lust, infidelity and all the HAREM S3X your Main Character can handle!!! If you love voluptuous figures , you'll be in HEAVEN! I really enjoyed the artwork on the women! Although this game has almost no animation, I didn't even care -- the lewd scenes are that sensually depicted!! Plus, there isn't just one cookie-cutter model for all the voluptuous ladies, there are many variations! The WRITING: I know from some of the reviews I've read, a couple of people mentioned they believed the writing was faulted because of "this" or "that," but as far as I'm concerned, this developer knocked this plot's entertainment right out of the park! This was sophisticated writing! It was unpredictable, articulate, spelled accurately, and super Intriguing!! I couldn't tear myself away from playing this game and I logged 28 hours. I hope the developers follow this AVN up with its awaited sequel, because I can't wait to see how this story is going to end with respect to all it's plot lines. I bought the first two installments and the story is completely satisfying regarding its conclusion. Pick this game up as a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Role Playing Game! You will have a blast!

I love the story in this game. It's very different than other AVN's. You can form alliances by marrying princesses and basically marry as many women as you want. It's pretty hilarious. Update: This is incredibly disappointing, but it seems pretty clear that the dev quit on this game.

Okay vamos lá. Esse jogo vale cada centavo, tem uma história intrigante e envolvente (sério é muito boa mesmo), os modelos de personagem são muito bonitos, as heroínas são bem desenvolvidas e cativantes (especialmente a valentina, se você der uma chance para ela com certeza ela vai te surpreender, ela possui um belo arco de desenvolvimento) e o protagonista realmente é bem desenvolvido. Não joguei tantas Avns assim, mas essa é com certeza uma das melhores. Enfim, pode comprar sem medo!

Although rather primitive compared to other games, no animations, most girls look kinda the same.. Clothing isnt befitting a princess.. but more a tramp. just to name a few examples. i really enjoyed playing this game. in fact, i played it twice in a row.. even bought it twice. I hated that it wasnt finished. (At the time i write this) And i do have a few remarks to the DEV. I had no choice in who was my first house girl.. I didnt and dont hate Valentina, and i wanted to choose her, but couldnt, which pissed me off a little. my MC was only rude and dismissive to her. If she would become submissive, now that would make sense.. and my day... :) Also it would be nice if you could switch between choose and refuse.. IE more choices that actually change something.. not choice A: nothing weird happens, and choice B; the king gets pissed at you, but nothing weird happens.. I fear it will take a year or 2 before this game will be finished, which is a shame, coz in a weird way, its kinda additive.. at least, for me. And DEV's all around... stop with all the fat asses, wide hips, and big saggy tits.. there are people that enjoy a smaller size. But i recommend this game, mostly because of the story.. and the many Erotic scenes. And oh.. 14 hours ?... nah, no really, i also bought the game on GOG... where i did my first play through. so yeah... On both platforms it played smooth and never crashed. I could be wrong, but it seemed a bit better looking on steam. So DEV... Finnish the game please.. there are too many loooong ass waits for updates on VN's. Be an exception.

By all means I am not the best reviewer, but I would like to say this game is gorgeous in every way. I feel really immersed in this world, and with the choices I am given, I feel like it really impacts my story and they truly matter. The ladies look beautiful, and well designed. Not really a fan of the way the MC looks, hopefully there will be a redesign in later updates, but is not a deal breaker. Hopefully, more content comes along like actually getting the ladies pregnant. All in all I give the game a 8/10! If you like medieval times, and building a harem with princess and other characters, then this is the game for you.
