About
Tiny Combat Arena is a labor-of-love combat flight simulator that aims to strike the perfect balance between a simulator and an approachable, customizable, air combat experience. All executed in a stylized look representing a fictional Cold War-era conflict.
Tiny Combat Arena is all about the fun factor of flying, dogfighting, and close air support. Simulation elements are added to the game in service of creating engaging and deep gameplay, never just for the sake of realism. Simulation inspired mechanics, such as boosting a missile's range by launching from above your target, create a new range of tactics for you to explore.

Tiny Combat Arena lets you jump in and fly by quickly assembling various types of missions. Take a placid stroll around beautiful scenery, configure a team vs team dogfight against aircraft of your choosing, or strike objectives with ground units to attack and support.

Plan your moves on the strategic map; pick objectives, identify threats, choose which units to support, and where to make a difference. There is a war going on around you, and your participation will affect its outcome.

The in-game database provides players with not only detailed statistics on vehicles, aircraft, and weapons, but also to give tactical guidance on how to approach different aircraft and respond to different threats.

Abandonware with radio silence from the dev, who appears to have gotten bored(?) with developing this game. If you want something similar you're better off with something like Nuclear Option.
Solo developer has left the industry, game will never be finished. Shame too because what has been built is really good and could have been amazing. A game being published by zombie MicroProse is becoming a red flag lately.
Had promise a few years ago, but infrequent small updates has turned into no updates. Dev appears to have abandoned the game. It has a few hours of fun though. Maybe buy it if it's on sale for $5 or less, or better yet try Nuclear Option.
Dev has been MIA on updates since october of 2025, game is still fun but wouldnt recommend it.
Yet another Microprose-backed EA title languishing in development hell with no updates from either developer or publisher. Don't waste your time.
Lots of initial enthusiasm by the dev on lots of Discord flight-sim boards. Lots of initial development of a couple of years. Lots of promising communications and inside looks at the development. Then dev pretty much dropped development on the sim like a hot rock and evidently decided to do something else(?) More or less radio silence on Discord. So... no. And, oh, good job, Microprose, by acting like a real, actual, grown-up publisher and holding your devs to account for vaporware. That last line was sarcasm, by the way. You are a crappy publisher, Neu-Microprose.
It's such a shame. Tiny combat arena could've been an incredible hit.
It's a delightful little game and if it were still in development I would emphatically recommend, but since the developer appears to have abandoned it I wouldn't tell anyone to buy it. It's a real shame because the "arena" gamemode that the developer made is really cool to me (remniscient of battlefield's Conquest) but replaying the one and only level gets old. It seems like the game was heartbreakingly close to being complete too, based on what little we can see from the outside, but the developer seemed to add workshop support intending the players to finish developing the game while they threw in the towel.
Abandoned game. Do not buy!
Abadoned and it never was much of a game to begin with
