Time Survivors

While the initial progression of Time Survivors can be fun, the later portions of it feel tedious. All of the characters are 'unique' (one is straight up downgraded as you upgrade them) and that leads to some rough balancing situations where some situations you simply can't win unless you were lucky enough to find the right weapon/upgrade. Unique idea but not well executed in my opinion.

A fun game with a funny premise well worth the small price.

Fun little game, very good for a relaxed pass time. I wish there were more weapons, combinations, and characters, but hopefully that will come in time.

Time Survivors é um bom bullet hell, até que bem divertido no começo. A jogabilidade funciona, é simples e direta, daquele tipo que você entra para matar hordas de inimigos e evoluir o personagem sem muita complicação. O maior problema do jogo é que ele parece meio esquecido. Não recebe atualizações, não tem conteúdo novo e isso pesa bastante com o tempo. Dá para zerar bem fácil, e o jogo conta com algo em torno de quatro ou cinco fases diferentes. Depois disso, o que sobra é repetir as mesmas fases com modificadores, como deixar tudo mais rápido ou fazer os inimigos ficarem invisíveis, o que acaba ficando chato depois de um tempo. Apesar disso, na promoção até vale a pena pegar. O jogo tem uma pegada de história meio absurda e engraçada. Só a ideia de poder matar dinossauros enquanto enfrenta versões totalmente surtadas de figuras históricas como Abraham Lincoln já rende boas risadas. É aquele tipo de jogo que diverte mais pelo conceito do que pela profundidade. Não chega nem perto de um Vampire Survivors em termos de variedade, conteúdo ou replay, mas também não tenta ser. Dá para se divertir por algumas horas, especialmente se você gosta do gênero e quer algo diferente. No geral, eu diria que vale uns 10 reais, mais que isso já acho meio complicado. Não é um jogo ruim, só falta conteúdo e suporte. Ainda assim, recomendo para quem gosta de bullet hell e quer algo simples para passar o tempo.

It's a bullet heaven survivor-like, it absolutely lets you build any number of insane damage outputs and it has a zany tongue-in-cheek take on the various characters and eras you can play with. If you like bullet heaven games then absolutely pick this one up!

Here is a list of random little things I found in the first hour that set this game apart from most generic 'Vampire Survivor' clones. Each character has a trigger ability which can be upgraded down two paths. These abilities can sometimes vastly alter runs. For instance one of my characters initially threw a bomb every 60 seconds. Fully upgraded the cooldown was reduced to 20ish seconds and the explosion generated gold. Great for farming. Each character has a unique ability. Stages have alters which present mini challenges. Some make every kill explode into a hail of bullets (which btw murdered me the first time), others make huge skeleton snakes appear for a certain duration of time. Beat the challenges and get modifiers like 2x health 1/2x healing. Random challenges pop up from time to time like circles you have to stand in for set amounts of time to get bonus currency. These seem to change from stage to stage. Sandbox mode to test builds. Awesome for theorycrafting. One level is a R-Type style side scroller. First time seeing this, and its hard as hell with proper side scroller mechanics. Boss fights have a Fortnight style danger zone for an added element of palm sweat. Everything else is standard fare. Upgrade trees, ultimate weapons, and so on. Movement is very fluid which is critical in these types of games. Enemies have the ability to completely clog up the screen and have enough variety in attacks (shooting, charging, evading) to keep it fresh. The one criticism I do find valid is that the attacks (as they are now) are pretty bland. One of the more fun things about VS games is the ability to turn into a particle effect throwing, graphic card clogging, cpu burning, murder machine. Though the murder machine part is here (trust me you will feel the power quickly) the rest isn't quite there yet. If there was any area I would suggest to the dev to focus, this would be it. So there it is in a nutshell. If you want to support a game with the bones of a bright future, I give this one a strong recommend. I am excited to see where this game at a year down the line in 2025.

Wenn du auf Spiele stehst, die schnell zu lernen, aber schwer zu meistern sind, wirst du hier definitiv fündig! [b]Gameplay:[/b] Das Gameplay ist simpel, aber unglaublich fesselnd. Du kämpfst dich durch endlose Horden von Gegnern, sammelst Erfahrungspunkte und stärkst deinen Charakter mit immer mächtigeren Fähigkeiten und Upgrades. Jede Runde fühlt sich frisch an, da du verschiedene Kombinationen ausprobieren kannst, um den perfekten Build zu finden. Das Tempo steigt dabei stetig an, was für eine spannende Herausforderung sorgt – besonders in den späteren Wellen, wenn die Gegner immer stärker werden. [b]Charaktere und Vielfalt:[/b] Die Auswahl an Charakteren und Waffen ist erstaunlich abwechslungsreich. Jeder Charakter bringt seine eigenen Stärken und Schwächen mit, was das Experimentieren wirklich belohnt. Egal, ob du Nahkampf-Spezialist oder Fernkampf-Experte bist – es gibt immer etwas Neues zu entdecken. Außerdem sorgt die Vielzahl an Gegnern und Bossen dafür, dass keine Runde wie die andere ist. [b]Grafik und Stil:[/b] Die Pixel-Grafik ist charmant und erinnert an klassische Spiele aus den 90ern, ohne dabei altbacken zu wirken. Die Animationen sind flüssig, die Effekte der Fähigkeiten sehen großartig aus, und die Gegner-Designs sind kreativ und passend für das Setting. Der Retro-Stil passt perfekt zur hektischen, actiongeladenen Spielweise und verleiht dem Spiel einen einzigartigen Charme. [b]Sound und Musik:[/b] Die Musik ist treibend und motivierend – genau das, was man für ein schnelles Action-Spiel wie dieses braucht. Die Soundeffekte der Waffen und Fähigkeiten sind befriedigend und geben dir das Gefühl, bei jedem Angriff richtig zuzuschlagen. Auch wenn die Hintergrundmusik in längeren Sessions repetitiv werden kann, passt sie hervorragend zum Gameplay. [b]Herausforderung und Wiederspielwert:[/b] Was Time Survivors wirklich auszeichnet, ist der hohe Wiederspielwert. Jede Runde bringt neue Herausforderungen, und das Fortschrittssystem motiviert, immer wieder zurückzukehren und noch weiter zu kommen. Es ist eines dieser Spiele, bei denen du dir denkst: "Nur noch eine Runde!", und plötzlich sind Stunden vergangen. [b]Fazit:[/b] Time Survivors ist ein großartiges Roguelike-Game, das mit seinem einfachen, aber süchtig machenden Gameplay, der charmanten Retro-Optik und der hohen Vielfalt an Charakteren und Upgrades überzeugt. Es ist perfekt für kurze Sessions oder lange Abende, in denen du immer weiterkommen möchtest. Wenn du Spiele wie Vampire Survivors magst, wirst du Time Survivors lieben.
