Cute little speed puzzle game that took me around 4 hours to 100%. It has a manageable amount of stages, and does a good job consistently introducing new features and utilizing old ones to make interesting puzzles. Their were a few stages that felt a tad bit repetitive in small chunks, but these were few and far between. Figuring out the perfect sequence to get all of the crypto provides just enough challenge to be worthwhile without feeling unfair.
Very polished game with clever mecanics and ingenious level design. Are you brave enough to become a time rifter? I'm becoming a time rifter.
Time Rift is an unambitious and shallow Playstation hybrid endless runner/shoot 'em up where the screen scrolls constantly towards the right. You move a little ship, collect stuff, shoot stuff, avoid obstacles, and yawn. There's some puzzle-like elements where you need to work out the right way to traverse each level, but this is very lightweight too. The technical delivery is weak, the hybridisation of obsolete game formats is done poorly and is completely unengaging when you compare this to contemporary PC games. I feel bad for console gamers sometimes, but they made their choice. This certainly may be the best the Playstation has to offer, but PC gamers expect more. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. PC gamers will be insulted by the demand from the developer that a console peasant children's toy controller should be used, despite this being on PC. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're developing for, and must never, under any circumstances dictate to gamers how their games are to be experienced. Those technical issues put this game beneath what is expected from a contemporary, professionally developed PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 15 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? Time Rift has the laughable price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. There's enough defects and quality problems with this game that it's really impossible to recommend to gamers. This is insane pricing on minimalist garbage... if developers want to charge that kind of money for a game, they should learn how to do graphics first. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Bioshock Infinite", "Far Cry 5" or "Stellaris". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this, all in simplified Chinese and all with the same kind of wording. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt.
Eğlenceli puzzle oyunu , tavsiye ederim En iyi verdiğim 10 tl
The story is alright. The gameplay is uninteresting. The puzzles are almost universally trivial. It took me 2.5 hours to complete with all collectibles (missed only two achievements for doing badly), and of that 2.5 hours I had about 5-10 minutes of enjoying it in total. The same time-rewind mechanic is done in far superior free game "Beret" (not on Steam, available on indiedb) but as an incidental thing to make the game less frustrating, versus here it's the unfun central mechanic of the game.
Thin and pompous
This game can get tiring quicker than you can finish it. The balance between its lack of level design and the over-the-top ambiance is striking. Puzzles aren't very rich and the time constraint is often the only element making them hard, but not interesting. Go left, go right, the visuals and game objects stay the same, each level is a succession of similar gimmicks crammed into tight spaces. So it's a small and simple game all in all, this is not really a problem at all. But again what I found irritating was how much effort was seemingly put into making it pass for something on another level. There is a disconnect with the vibe and the actual content. Hyper-on VXF for every little move, ear-piercing Sound Effects, excited music, unnecessary Voice Acting over long bland blocks of texts saying the same thing over and over again. Maxed-out form over function
