VERY rough around the edges. Very bad soundtrack that just repeats. Not very nice visuals. But id say worth a try it has some decent gameplay. resembles lovely planet a bit.

Through The Tomb is a pretty rough game. I like the idea, and I, myself was able to enjoy the game. The first person platforming is a little floaty, but you get used to it quick, in my opinion. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a first person platforming game, doesn't mind dated visuals, and is ok with indie games.
There are a lot of positive reviews for this game, though I think this is due to the fact that most folks don't have the heart to put down a free game that was clearly not made with malicious intent to become viral by being purposefully bad or with pay to win mechanics... This however doesn't change the fact that this is, indeed, a bad game, because the movement is sluggish, the mouse sensitivity is off and the mechanics are all over the place ranging from just badly executed to downright annoying. But all of this can be boiled and tracked down to the one fundamental flaw this game has, which is, ironically; that this is a game chock full of features. None of which is properly implemented, and several of which don't have a reason to exist in the first place, such as the knee-high obstacles that the player just "vaults over" automatically, whose mere existence irks me because I can't help but wonder: If my character is just going to basically walk through them the moment I touch one of those, then whats the difference between said so-called obstacles laying in the ground versus them just not existing at all? The answer is, obviously, that there is no difference at all. So why does that feature exists anyway? My best guess is that the developers just came up with a list of "fun" things they wanted to see in their parkour game and set out to simultaneously work on all of them at the same time. The reason for such a guess is that the player character walks like a snail (Although the game insists that the player is, in fact, supposedly running—let that sink in—) and jumps so slowly that it's clear not even the force of gravity is right in this game, which is a clear sign that most likely everything was made in one go, when instead the developers should have focused on getting a prototype that nailed down just the motions of walking, running, and looking around properly before trying to add anything else (Yeah, not even jumping or crouching). And even once they did so, make sure to perfect every single new feature or movement mechanic before even thinking of working on anything else... And that's the really sad thing, because, if instead of adding all those pointless obstacles, jumping pads, platforms that toggle in and out of existence, annoying enemies that knock you back in mid-air, and time travel trinkets (And hell, even the artifacts and checkpoints could be cut from this game in all honesty) in favour of ensuring that you got the basics of good mouse sensitivity, walking, running, jumping, wall running and maybe—just maybe—climbing or sliding/rolling, you would have been able to deliver a really fun parkour experience even with plain levels with no interactive elements other than the ground and walls themselves... But alas, you spread yourselves too thin and the result is a jack of all trades that is also clearly a master of none.
Played around 3/4 of the game before stopping (I believe so, anyway). Whilst fun, the game is extremely broken and unfinished (for example, in one level the checkpoints just flat out wouldn't work, as the level would just reset instead, and in another level, I ran out of time yet the timer reset itself to its starting time and just froze on that). For a free game, though, I'd say it's definitely worth a go! Music is pretty chill too!
Firstly I want to start out saying this is not my favoirte game. It is fine but is not what I was excpecting. Some of the controls are a little weird but other than that not too bad. Check out my video with gameplay underneath! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws9YGUxjlNU&t=6s
great game! keep up the good work
Through The Tomb is a first person 3D skill/precision platformer where you must negotiate a 3D tomb/dungeon by jumping through various obstacle courses. The game has a fairly full set of platformer mechanisms, from jump/spring pads, wall jumping, wall running, stalactites you can climb, and a "rush forward" surge that propels you forward a bit. The game mechanics and level designs are clearly well planned out. The problem is more in the general quality of the implementation. It's poorly optimised despite the lacklustre low-poly environments and low resolution textures. Gameplay isn't as smooth and comfortable feeling as it should be, so playing the game results in being more frustrated at the low framerates and clunky handling than the platformer challenges. Platformers like this rely 100% on the control handling, look and feel being absolutely perfect, but they aren't here. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.
