Let me lay this out simply, the only reason I’m not refunding this is I’m trying to just add games to my account as my dream is to make it to 1K games. This is one of the worst games I’ve ever played. This game has no idea what it’s trying to be, the crafting system looks like some mutated overly complex fusion of Minecraft and a city builder, the gameplay is a more confusing and clunky mashup of far cry and red dead redemption. Combat is confusing, the controls are wonky, the save system is atrocious. You can lose large amounts of progress because of the ridiculously stupid save requirements especially because ya know it doesn’t even tell you where your camp or the safe places are! Let’s compare this to the long dark, a game that infuriatingly deletes your save upon death and only allows you to save when sleeping or entering an interior space. The long dark is marketed as a brutally realistic survival game and so limited save options make sense. This game is portrayed as a far cry knockoff (even some of the graphics look like they were stolen from far cry.) You should be able to save anywhere or at least save and quit to title anywhere and you can’t even do that in this game. The combat mechanics are unbelievably clunky and awful with no properly explained or fluid perk and progression system. Again, the main series this game is attempting to rip off is far cry yet it has nothing that makes far cry great. Heck even a weaker and generic far cry game like 6 or new dawn at least has solid combat and perk systems. In this game, you can barely even walk through doors or aim your bow or fight enemies in a way that would be conducive to progression. Overall, unless you have money to waste, don’t buy this train wreck, it’s such a shame as the setting is so creative.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is old, it's been out for a while. It has come a long way. I don't have many hours in it though cause I think its more of a niche game. I don't think the appeal will be for everyone and the controls can be frustrating at times when you can't vault over a simple fence.. but.. it's still a good game with those things in mind.
This game is super fun; however, there are not many mods available and the game saves are super annoying. Plus the ridiculous leveling / crafting system. It would have been nice if they didn't make it so annoying with stuff no one wants to do anymore (it's 2023, not 2015); it would be fun to play it like RDR2 and not be burdened with overly complicated crafting BS... It seems like there are overlay mechanics and systems that aren't relevant anymore as the tripe of craft my butt off or collect mats died about 5 years ago. This makes the game way less enjoyable. Half my time is trying to figure out why XYZ action can't be completed due to something that appears to either be a missing skills upgrade or what looks like a bug (e.g. can't create a new settlement because my warriors can only carry 15 weight and it takes ~45 for the two materials the warriors require to settle, not counting weapons + ammo). Oh yeah and the whole social meta game seems way overkill. I'd prefer less complexity to enjoy the story more.
Great game.
I AM PERSONALLY LOVING THIS GAME!!!
Good game! Thanks for the EA play test.
Very enjoyable, this can be relaxing with horse back riding, exploring wilderness regions, vast forests, I love finding a river and just ride and hunt. Or this can be as intense as you want fighting for your tribes survival. My favorite adrenaline rush is striking a match and burning down a fort after I have wiped it out and looted. The graphics could us a bit of polishing but I hardly notice being gripped by the immersive plot of the first nations people.
