I feel bad for leaving a negative review, but I brought up concerns with the Developer when they gave out free keys asking for people to review their game and I haven't seen any attempt to address them. As far as I can tell there are no instructions in the game on how to play. WASD movement is easily figured out, but the rest... no clue. I can't seem to find any explanation of the controls in this game. I didn't get very far in the game due to not knowing any of the controls, so my impression of the gameplay is limited. You move right and either fight enemies or run away. I had honestly forgotten what buttons did what, so I just went back and pressed buttons until something happened and it looks like J is your attack button. I do not know what picks things up, or what opens up what looks like a door at some point. The game also seems to lack any kind of setting options besides volume. With that said, when I first tried to go into settings I couldn't find a way to get out of them. I brought this up to the Dev and they said just click the arrow in the corner. That arrow does nothing. I had to force close the game if I wanted to get back to the main menu. I did later find out that I would hit A to move back out of that menu, but the Dev still told me to click a non-working arrow. By default the game plays in a window and doesn't support fullscreen. Right now the game seems like a throw back to some of those old arcade side scrollers from the 80s, but it seriously needs to have simple things like screen settings and an explanation of the controls since the gameplay consists of hammering keys trying to figure out how to actually play it.
