It's a very cute concept, but it just feels unpolished. It's clunky and the controls are a little abnormal. It honestly feels more like an early access that anything else, especially with the typos and translation errors. They make it feel unfinished
Hypothetically, this could be a really good game, it has fun magic, good graphics, and a world that *could* feel alive, but it feels like the creators got half finished with it and said "okay, that's good, don't mind the bugs or incomplete gameplay, time to sell!" I could even forgive them if they released it so they could get funds to keep working on the game, but it's not e even being updated really, just given more paid cosmetic DLCs.
Very difficult to play this game without access to the wiki. There is just too great a variety of resources to keep track of where you will need to go to harvest them, let alone find them. This is part of the game's overall lack of guidance. The game itself does not do a good job of letting you easily sort through pre-requisites for upgrades and buildings; early in-game quests require harvestables from future seasons but doesn't do a good job of telegraphing this fact. Rather frustrating for a cozy game.
A great cozy game with good progression and a super long play time
To start, I should mention that I am a loot goblin and I love farming games. When I first started the game, I was a bit put off by the inventory/hotbar system; almost 50 hours in and I still don't like it but it's not that big of a deal. It's just something to work around and slowly becomes second nature. The pacing of the quests seems a bit off, several of the main quests requiring you to wait a few seasons before you can move forward. Waiting a single season is okay but any more than that and it's annoying. There's plenty to do, at least in the early game, it's not like you're just waiting for the seasons to pass but I wanted the damn cat sooner! Is the game perfect? No. There are quite a few things that could be added or changed to make the game more comfortable but it's enjoyable regardless.
the PERFECT cozy game!!
Sadly, coming from their Discord : "Unfortunately, we do not support this monitor resolution, only the 16:9 ratio, i.e. 1280x720, and later 1920x1080." (that was in 2024). I still recommend that game otherwise because it seems lovely.
I'll be as blunt and objective as possible: the grind is absurd. I had to play with a wiki page open by my side; otherwise, I would have given up a long time ago. I finished the main storyline in 145 hours, but I’m still only a C+ Witch and haven't graduated. While the story is cute and full of cool lore, it isn’t worth the grind. It has a lot of potential, though.
