LOVE AND HATE IT AT THE SAME TIME! With the same energy, passion and footwork! Although I lukewarm recommend it (Steam needs a MEH! option); the original Kingdom frustrated me, and wasn't as successful with the 2 crowns coop (because I have no friends and playing with randoms wasn't the best experience) anyway "the wild age" is nice when I want to disconnect my brain; think this game was more of a demo for the programmer’s skills/buff his resume, rather than a love letter to the original kingdom! -a lot of empty areas that could have been used to be filled with "houses" to keep your citizens as your army grew, for the aesthetic value, -could have made a tavern to keep all the unemployed citizens inside, if you didn't want to get more archers, especially during winter when the farms are closed to reduce clutter/lag or just to fill the empty squares that don't spawn rabbits which tend to be an eyesore -the great barricades stay empty...allow us to garrison archers there - even if we don't see them, or make it that some get away when the barricade gets destroyed -barbarians/cultists took the place of the greed blobs from the original, I like their design but it's curious that the more archers you have, you can't kill more than 1-2 at a time -there's not much variation, from the main objective- kill /survive - the BUILD BOAT miniquest is underwhelming compared to the original (only appears in 2 scenarios ehm islands if I recall correctly and it just fill your coin purse and pay up the next level, unlike the buy pieces and wait until the builders fix it) - BOAT RANT you don't get the sail away option, you click to go from one island to the next, would have been a nice option to "have the boat fire its cannons at the enemies so you get fewer enemies from one side during the night but you have to pay coins every day like with the merchant -it allows you to make your own maps and play -torches tell you which side the attackers will come from, archers will move to enforce the area that will be attacked (sometimes???) -cutting EVERY tree around vagrant camps and merchant WON'T destroy the merchant -interest in the banker/treasurer guy will grow with more maps you play (started at 8 got it to give 12 coins/day on random island) -banker won't gather the coins in front of your castle, like in the original, it will only accept deposits of 10 coins, would have been nice to be able to put more at a time -you can see how much you actually have stored in your treasury; it will cost you 1 coin to take out your money back, the pop-up message can take some time to appear at times -only 50 coin bag limit tends to be frustrating -your pet will collect coins -avatar gives bonuses depending on who you choose, pet is just cosmetic, polar bear is fast to collect the coins - deer mount isn't as effective in attracting and making deer to follow like in the original -BAKER wasn’t copied here so you won't have vagrants coming to you, but you get a vagrant camp to spawn villagers for 6 coins each -FARMS that are built only have 3 farmers instead of 4 in the original, apparently just like in the original they don't protect the farmers overnight - would have been an awesome thing if it did -YOU CAN DECONSTRUCT buildings, YOU CAN'T switch the jobs of the NPCs -sleeping mount randomly plopped on the ground making me love 1-2 in game hours -stamina refill option doesn't always trigger -the throw coin/stamina refill has the same button and gets the AI confused at times -noticed a weird dance circle/menuet move when your mount circles around the tree/merchant/treasurer -spend coin options won't trigger sometimes near vendors (yes you lose in game hours trying to reposition) -woodcutter cuts wood, before it was the builder, although noticed that the woodcutter tends to run around and collect coins at times - MAJOR LAG after day 50 -the last achievements will be time consuming - 12 hours like time consuming (yes I made a large map just to hunt bunnies); same for deer (just make forests with a wall 1-2 tiles before the bandit camp) -NO coin pooping unicorn, like in the original -NO SIEGE SHOP, no catapults, no knights, no ballistae like in the original -archers increase in rank - new cape colours but no info on damage/range/hp -NO PIKEMEN that fish (1 coin) like in the original kingdom -more hints would have been nice, rather than random "thank you for playing our game" - for how many days the winter is, :(
nice game !!!
Such bad reviews! I actually enjoyed this one. Sure its a direct rip off of Kindoms, but its not that bad!
Just a bad game for me
Okay, this game is literally from the game Kingdom which came out before and with more features. The only thing I can see that is actually different, is the fact they didn't include knights to break the portals and swapped the perspective to 3D. However, the following shows the devs either didn't play their game long, or simply don't care. Bugs ____________ 1. Archers get increasingly louder the more you have (which is required to survive longer I was playing at 5% volume once my archer stack got to 50ish. 2. If your drop your crown quickly rip off your headphones because at 10% volume my eardrums are near destroyed from the sound, it's stupid loud you're actually hurting peoples hearing I'm not kidding. 3. Your mount if it lays down from you holding still for a while (shouldn't really happen often as you need to constantly be on the move) clips into the ground so your mounts legs are cut off and running around on stubs (horrific). 4. Your hunters (during the day archers swap to being hunters) will not roam the full length of trees you have cleared out. The best way to mitigate this is by spamming towers to help you not lose out on coins. 5.Cutters (loggers w/e) have delayed pathfinding when you order them to cut trees, in addition their animations are not matched to when trees fall so you watch them do an extra swing etc. Same for farmers as night in your castle randomly swinging their scythes during the night. Additional ________________ I consider myself a pretty excellent Kingdom (I guess in this caSe Wild Age) player, the standard difficulty by the time you get to island 5 is kind of nuts, by this time you better have perfected your economy (the main struggle of these games) or you'll flounder. Which I would expect this from more the point of island 7 to show you've mastered the game as there is only 9 islands. TL:DR: Buggy, blatant rip of the Kingdom series that gets progressively LOUDER the more units you get with some pathfinding issues with your NPC's.
This game fkn blows. don't let the screen shots and video fool you. that is literally all there is to the game. its basically a super padded auto-game that makes everything clunky to make it seem like you're doing something but actually doing nothing. I bought it at 75% off and will refund
Kötü bir taklit olmuş. Oynanışı, animasyonları oldukça kötü. İyi diyebileceğim tek yönü inşaatı iptal etme seçeneğiniz olması. Keşke Kingdom'da da iptal edebilsek. Onun haricinde keyifsiz bir oyun olmuş.
You could buy and play this game, or play the better ones that came first that have incredible pixel art, great mechanics and passion put into them till this very day. The better ones being Kingdom New Lands or Kingdom Two Crowns
