This game is a sort of exploration and celebration of what it means to be human that progresses as you solve puzzles set in dozens of beautiful and really creative locations. It is in many ways a huge improvement on the first game which I also love, especially in graphical quality, world-building, and scale. Totally worth the price

The Talos Principle 2 is an ambitious sequel to the first with an attempt to expand the lore and have us chat with a number of characters as we make our way through the different areas. Overall it's a fun game with some interesting puzzles and new mechanics, though the scale, sparsity and difficulty leaves something to be desired. + Decently written characters with unique personalities, if you enjoy dialogue in gameplay then this will be a plus to you + Gorgeous structures and lighting, at times this game looks incredible! If playing on lower settings, shortfalls like upscaling and visual artifacts can detract from its potential though + A good quantity of puzzles in many unique areas, with new mechanics featured in each + A somewhat interesting plot + Freedom to tackle things in whichever order you want with no pressure - Map sizes result in lots of running around through sparse trees and rocks. The overall vibe and structure scale may be impressive but it makes things take longer and feels emptier than it should - Most puzzles were very easy, only the late game optional ones felt challenging - New puzzle mechanics were isolated to their areas and hardly combined - Stars were repetitive and didn't offer much thinking outside the box Despite the shortfalls, I really enjoyed playing through The Talos Principle 2! It's a fun game with plenty of puzzles and optional lore for those who enjoy reading or dialogue. The first game still beats it out by a decent amount, but this sequel is worth checking out.
I enjoyed the first game, but felt that it was a bit too limited. This time round it is a lot more inspiring.
