It's a decent story, but It's extremely linear with nothing to figure out. Hints that the narrator is unreliable, but no conclusion to that question.
A surprisingly solid indie title based on a Persian folklore. I dont know much about the original story but from what can be gathered while playing the game is that it is based off a tragic romance type narrative. Incredibly well paced and the sprinkling of lore drops throughout the chapters will keep you invested. The narrator did a great job building things up and dare I say really helped carry an already awesome experience. Combat is short, simplistic and sweet, a bit repetitive but one can argue that its not really what you played the game for. It could be a tad harder, yes but it works best for the casual player. In my mind, think of it as like playing the game "Journey" but with some combat. A definite must try if you have the time. You can finish the game and get all the achievements in roughly 4hrs, more or less. Would like to know more if they can put out a sequel but it is pretty good as it is though if they want to build or expand more, I would definitely give it a go as I very much enjoyed the game. Enjoy! XD
While a bit on the short side (a little over 3 hours for me), the game is interesting and fun. The combat is really basic and fairly easy (I never lost a single battle). The dodge is a life saver as you take no damage while dodging. There are two main weapons. They seem similar in damage but the special attack is unique. The final boss weapon is a slow cumbersome hammer but works well enough. The final boss battle is also fairly easy. I really like the graphic sytle as I am so sick of pixel art games. The music blends well and the voice acting is very good. Combat, as stated, is simple and will probably be too easy for seasoned players. For me, it is a nice change of pace to all those "souls like" games out there. Sometimes you just want a quick and easy game. Like a nice piece of candy that is delicious for the short time you devour it. I did come across two bugs. Once I fell off the map and had to quit the game. Another time going from chapter five to the final chapter the game would just hang. I resolved the last one by changing my monitor from 144Hz to 60Hz and then was able to continue. Get it on sale or part of a bundle.
+ Beautiful art and excellent storytelling. - The combat could be more sophisticated, especially the boss fights. I also did not notice any difference in the weapons after each upgrade. - Sometimes, the camera movement does not give the player a good view of the scene, which affects the gaming experience. This game is heavily story-based. Players who care about story of a game will definitely enjoy it.
❌ Being a narrative driven game, story felt uninteresting to me ❌ Too much walking/moving around in the game ❌ Gameplay is far too simple and easy ❌ Very short game ❌ No cloud save
The game is well made but short and a bit repetitive. The story feels unfinished, like the first chapter to something bigger. Switching of weapons is meaningless - you can use just one of them, likely any, to finish the story, the difference is not big. I bought the game with big discount and for that price it is OK, it is really not worth the full price.
Yo lo he dejado. Mi nota: 4/10.
🗿⚔️ “In The Tale of Bistun, you rise as an amnesiac stone-carver climbing Mount Bistun’s slopes. Battle fierce monsters with fast melee combat, harness magical powers, and uncover the mysteries of both the real world and the Revelations Realm. A blend of myth, action, and epic storytelling.” 🌌🔥 ⭐ 5/5 — I recommend this game! It’s a beautiful mix of combat, magic, and myth that keeps you hooked. 💯 👉 Check it out here: https://youtu.be/vrsnviAwb1E
It is a nice game. A decent story. Walking simulator with some action. But game time... It not worth full price.
