I had a wonderful time with Stone of Madness. It promises an intriguing story in 1799 Spain on a secluded monastery and thats exactly what I got. Whether or not you will enjoy this game though depends on if you can handle learning a hardcore stealth puzzle game that's fairly input-intensive. Its a bit more old school in the sense that mistakes are severely punished and you will just be repeatedly told to eat doo-doo if you run into a mechanic you can't solve with your current characters. Think of all the times you lost a hero in darkest dungeon, its a bit like that. But the game is by no means unfair. Even on normal difficulty there is plenty of resources to sustain the worst gameplay imaginable, and there's no mistake you can make that is truly permanent. That's part of what I appreciate about this game. Its very uncompromising (right down to the lack of a manual save system!) and I like that. I wish more games are like this but it won't be for everyone.
Oh yeah , a stone in your brain !

Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series. My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review. In this episode I check out an Indie isometric stealth RPG called The Stone Of Madness. This game is developed by The Game Kitchen, who worked on the Survival Horror Game Suffer The Night, and is published by Assemble Entertainment, who created one of the greatest 2D soulslike series of all time, Blasphemous, and is published by Tripwire, who released the epic First Person Cooperative Shooter series Killing Floor The Stone Of Madness is set in a mysterious monastary in the 1800s, following an eccentric cast of characters, cruelly imprisoned within the monastery walls. Bound together by a thirst for freedom, they decide to make a desperate escape attempt, combining their unique abilities to brave both the vicious guards and a deadly supernatural force which emerges during the night. You will also need find ways to manage your crews mental health and work together on circumventing their crippling fears and phobia. With each day youll unlock more of the monastaries secrets, gaining access to additional areas, and finding resources to craft tools to help your survival. The Stone Of Madness is a brilliantly unique take on the Isometric RPGs, mixing stealth, puzzle solving, character management and exploration into an incredibly challenging but engaging package. The isometric perspective and unique hand drawn painting style graphics bring the games setting to life. I highly recommend the game to fans of stealth RPGs or those just looking for a unique indie game with a robust challenge Please note: All opinions in this video are my own. il gioco funziona, non ha bug e ha un mood credibile. una avventura con diversi matti in un convento ad uso manicomio che riescono a prendersi sul serio pur restando un branco di matti.
Great dissappointment. I steated to play in demo and I liked it. But full version is full of problems. And dont get me wrong, graphic is simply superb, music is good, dialogues muted but it is ok for cheap game. The problem is gameplay, or to be more specific lack of balance. I am not the super player, but I ve been playing games regulary for 30 years so I am not a begginer. But this game, on the most simply level - is designed for people who played this game before. You have no time to think what to do, You have to know it. Maybe with simple system of save/load it could be ok, but without it - it is no-go. You have no resources, so together with no info that Your most valuable knife and violin will be destroyed soon - You end up in situation that You can only load old save and start from the beginning. I am really very sorry, because idea of the game, graphic, and climat would be very appealing if I could just enjoy the game - but it is impossibile. I do not recommend with great regret. I hope, that publisher will make a "casual" version when everyone can enjoy playing not counting planks necessery to finish game.
We Will Be Free!! I'm liking this game I love a game with stealth and it has puzzles I'm loving all the characters, especially poor poor Eduardo I kind of want this game with multiplayer
yes
