This is a well written, fun adventure with a great cast of characters. Highly recommend the series.
The secret romance is chef kiss.
tssw is one of my fav IFs of all time! ive proudly finished books 1 & 2 in two days (then devoured the book 3 demo at 2 am under my covers). morgan's writing is so amazing!! i love how they excel at different genres from humor, action, angst, hurt/comfort and i love how they flesh out the characters !! i went in tssw for sexc vampire papa and ended up super soft for the MD poly <3 (seriously i love when mc snuggles with big grumpy yet soft morkitty and the sweet and saucy daelynncat... i couldve said ♥♥♥♥♥ but thats a different thing ANYWAY my point is i love everyone! straasa is such a sweet dreamboat and eledwen is so strong and beautiful... how can i betray them for manerkols shadow strap now!?) the different variations of these plot and romances are SO good too. i work in game dev too so hats off to morgan for all these variations holy crap, youre my idol! my gf and i are also replaying like crazy because her works are just. so. damn good!! Play tssw now!!!
Muy bueno, es muy interesante los personajes y la trama estan bien construidos.
Don't listen to the negative reviews, they never heard of character arc before.
Eu gostei.
The story is good but lacks some player choice and it feels like MC is a damsel in distress.
I really enjoyed this game! While it does have some faults in the writing at times, the characters are really well fleshed out, which kept me hooked!
Good enough
A solid first book | 8/10
I picked up this game and it's sequel and have not yet started the second book as I didn't want my review to be colored by whatever may be in store! That being said I think this game is a solid start to what seems like a very unique story. The characters are all varied and I enjoy the occasional POV change to either your RO or to the dastardly villain!
who may also be your RO
There are enough dialogue choices that I didn't feel like I was playing the same type of MC even after a few playthroughs and having varied Soul Stones was a great way to encourage playing different types of characters as well! As other reviewers have mentioned, your character is a little powerless at the start but I didn't really mind it. You can play an experienced fighter but that doesn't mean your prepared to fight the things that are thrown your way! There are a wellspring of IFs & VNs where your character is strong/powerful right from the get-go so it's a bit refreshing to play as just a guy/gal who is way out of their depth and there is a very big rewarding moment towards the end that shows that yes, you are getting better and stronger -- even if fighting really isn't your thing! I think if there was one critique for the game that I think is worth mentioning is just simply ... I wish things were a bit more fleshed out and some things taken at a slower pace. As it stands a lot happens and while we are told that time has passed we don't really get to experience those quieter moments in-between. It can be a bit frustrating finally getting to camp and resting and wanting to be able to talk to characters in depth for a while only to read that the night came and went and it's on to the next fight! The characters are forming bonds with one another, and the MC is (or isn't) growing to care for those around them and I just wish we were able to *do* more of that, rather than us being told or it being implied. I also wish the whole intuition thing was better explained! I was so very confused about it the first time I played, I had no idea the MC was proficient at
dreamwalking
until they told the rest of group. I don't know whether this was the authors intention or not tho! Overall however I think this game has the bones to stand as a good foundation for future books. It's obvious the author has a vision for the kind of story they want to tell and the characters & world are both interesting and fun enough to keep me invested.
