The plot has potential, but the mechanics are truly the most horrifying part of the game. 2/10 rating, because the previous game I played was rather ok with pedophilia. Literally 2 points for not being pedophiles.

眠らない兵士を作ろう。恐ろしい実験の犠牲になり狂ってしまった人の精神世界を探検するゲーム。 雰囲気はめっちゃいいんですがね・・・ なにしろ、パズルが難しすぎる。とっかかりがない。 できるだけネタバレしないように言いますと、 なんか置いてあるので、さわると敵が目の前に現れて殺される。ステージの最初から。 さっきのをスルーして進むとなんか落ちてる。さわると敵に殺される。ステージの最初から。 ２つスルーするとなんか落ちてる。触っても回しても何も起きないので、進むと道がループして最初の位置に戻る。 １つ目に触ると敵に殺される。ステージ最初から。 みたいなのがずっと続く。「これはさわっちゃダメ」とか、「拾ってここに置いてね」「この角度が正解だよ」みたいにわかるヒントやエフェクトは一切なし。全ての仕掛けが正しくはまった瞬間、動き出す。 「お→き→〇→あ→あ」　〇に入るのはなあに？　 って言われてすぐに[spoiler] 「あ」(おととい→きのう→きょう→あした→あさって) [/spoiler]が正解だってわかる人はほとんどいないんですよ。そのくらいヒントがない。 バグはないし、雰囲気もいいから、本気で作ったゲームなのでしょうが、あまりにも高難度です。

As others have already noted this is a good game held back by a truly abysmal puzzle that occurs late in the game. The atmosphere and weird warping of reality from the beginning up to that particular point is really good. Jumpscares are present but not overused and the focus tends to be more on solving environmental puzzles. The story is decent and makes sense. Graphically and sonically everything works to immerse you in the hallucinations of the sleep experiment. What holds it back seems to be a lack of playtesting on one of the final puzzles. You can get past the puzzle with a hell of a lot of persistence but what is galling is that you can see exactly what the game wants you to do but be unable to execute it. It's maddening. This really should have been fixed during development or shortly after the first reviews. If it weren't for that puzzle it would be a solid recommend but I can't in good conscience give that as the puzzle is just that bad.
