About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

More "Resident Evil" than "Sinking City", but still quite fun.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

i like the game but i hate the game a whole lot more than i like. it gets so annoying playing this game that i have to quit after a few hours. they just stuff a ton of enemies in small areas on you and if you even try to get around them, good luck. They body block you even if you were to blast them to the ground. For a game that wants you to pick fights smart, they make it difficult to just get around enemies. the weakness system is dog ****. sometimes the weakness appears right away and sometimes it takes like 10 seconds and sometimes it just doesnt appear. the combat is just so bad because of this. then you cant even tell if you actually killed the enemy and before its too late, the slither reanimates the enemy and now im wasting more ammo. it gets old. i have to make sure i stomp every one of these guys so many times when they die and sometimes you just cant do that when so many enemies are on you so then you just have to deal with the enemy basically coming back to life. the speed of these guys is insane too. they literally ride your butt when you try to run away, even after blasting them down, they get up instantly most times and charge you. if you shoot an enemy thats in the animation of getting up off the ground, they wont be affected. ive tried to shotty an enemy so many times as they get up from point blank range just for them to tank it and then get a hit on me. the small red barrels you can shoot so you can explode them on the enemy feels bad. hardly any feedback on the enemy, they always get back up like it did nothing to em. the inventory system can get annoying as well. im always going back and forth to the box in the save room just to store items away since i absolutely need them. i get it, its survival horror and many great survival horror games do this type of inventory but this one is so small. its back and forth back and forth constantly. the investigations for skill points is pointless. ive done hardly any of it cuz its stupid. not like it adds much to help anyways. melee is garbage i feel. the game is just frustrating to play. i love survival horror games but this game just annoys the heck out of me. i dont recommend at its price tbh. its not a bad game, it just has so many annoying issues and its mostly all with the combat and thats what you do a lot of.
Developers worked hard on this game, I appreciate that. Thanks guys and good luck with your future projects :)

I absolutely love the fact that instead of hollow repetitive open world of the SC1 we got a tight survival horror where the city is just a single location. I enjoy this game a lot.
Dear Frogwares Team, I am writing to express my deepest respect and appreciation for your hard work and dedication. We know you are creating games under extremely difficult circumstances, but your resilience and perseverance are truly inspiring. A big greetings to you from Jordan! 🇯🇴 I also wanted to thank you so much for your care and attention to the Arabic language. It means a lot to Arabic-speaking gamers to see our language supported in your work. The Sinking City 2 looks amazing! The atmosphere is wonderfully creepy, tense, and captivating—I'm really enjoying it. Overall, I’d give it a solid 8 out of 10! Thank you again for all your efforts, and stay strong!
Sinking City 2 is a genuine step up in many way from the first game, but for those hoping for a direct sequel in genre and gameplay, you come out of this a bit disappointed; but for the story it tells its changes make sense [ Note -my playthrough was completed on Restless Slumber difficulty and Evidence Hints turned off, so your experience may differ ] Pros: - Gunplay and Controls have seen a massive upgrade. Everything feel tight and responsive, eliminating the cluck and awkward that often the plagued the first games -Story feels far more focused, spinning a tale that has more urgency and stakes, that is (in my opinion) my interesting and engaging -The more traditional Survival Horror style Gameplay is incredible well executed, each level feeling well thought out, with interconnecting pathways, well placed enemies and resources - Incredibly well crafted environments and atmosphere, helps keep its Lovecraftian setting interesting and iconically cosmic horror, in this apocalyptic version of the infamous fictional city of Arkham Massachusetts - Combat is both fun and challenging, allowing for memorable encounters and Boss Fights; and like traditional survival horror is also optional, giving the player the choice to fight or save resources and run - Perks are available to give small bonuses to multiple aspects of gameplay - Each level has side quests (or Investigations) that are highly rewarding, often giving the player extra resources to use or upgrades for your weapons and inventory Cons: - The Open World style level design has been completely omitted, opting for a traditional survival horror layout. this may upset fans of the original game, as the sprawling city of Oakmont and its colorful citizens were a big part of it identity and drew many people into the first game. i myself being fairly disappointed by this change as well - Combat, while fun, can sometimes feel really brutal, making some encounters more frustrating especially in small spaces where dodging and running away maybe more difficult without taking a lot of damage -Side Characters are not as interesting as they were in the first, mainly due to the story focusing heavily on the 2 protagonists and their mission - Resources are limited and will require diligent management to keep your inventory stocked, even then you may still find you yourself scrounging for ammo and crafting material. adding a level of stress that some may not enjoy - Dialog and Voice Acting can be hit or miss, mostly with line deliveries sometimes feeling off. However important moments are well acted and do deliver the emotion that is needed - Objectives also may not be super clean as to what needs to be done, and may leave players wandering and feeling aimless Even though this game diverges significantly from the first entry with some drastic changes to to its genre and gameplay, its still a more than worthy and wonderfully crafted entry that, fans of the original Sinking City and of Survival Horror in general should give a look and be willing to give a chance. Hell, the games very existence is kind of miracle, as Frogware managed to finish it in the middle of the Ukraine War with most of their staff being drafted during production. So please give this game a chance and you may just find it was worth it.
