My favorite RTS game of all time is Grand Tactician Civil War when I saw that they had a Sever Years War version I knew I had to buy it. Don't listen to the negative reviews about this game I'd take it over any of the Total War games. If you're a tactician nerd like me you're gonna love this. It has everything such as managing logistics and supply lines, ability to blockade port and cut off the enemies supplies, fight guerrilla campaigns alongside your native allies, can customize your regiments, and sky is the limit when it comes to creating your own battle plans. I really hope they make an American Revolution DLC for this or a new game based around it I'd buy it at full price in a heartbeat.

Schade eigentlich...Gute Idee - paar echt nette Ansätze aber Bedienung hakelig und fehlerhaft (mal bewirkt ein Klick nichts, dann das falsche...) z.T. nicht einsichtig warum irgendetwas nicht funktioniert (z.B. produzieren meine Minen genug Lehm und der Handwerker brennt Ziegel aber trotz Prio auf Baustellenversorgung werden die Gebäude nicht weiter gebaut. Die Offiziere im Zuteilungspool sind mal da und mal nicht, die Sammelpunkt-Flagge für Verbündete bewirkt rein gar nix... selbige verteidigen auch nicht mal ihr eigenes Land.
Der Gipfel aber sind die Schlachten - meine Truppe hat volle Moral, ich hab die Schlüsselfelder mit den Siegpunkten, füge dem Feind doppelte Verluste zu und treibe ihn vor mir her - trotzdem verliere ich die Schlacht ???
Leider ist das Spiel vom Developer offenbar eh "verlassen".... Scheint auch eine "One-man-show" gewesen zu sein - insofern ist's ne ganz gute Leistung. Aber eben leider kein "rundes Spiel" trotz der guten Grundideen....

Why did they release two pointless DLCs when the campaign, which is the very heart of the game, is a complete mess? The AI is totally nonexistent, so there's no point in playing the campaign. It's a total rip-off. Don't buy this game!

Unverständlich - unübersichtlich - und die vielleicht schlechteste Grafik, die ich je in einem Computer-Spiel gesehen habe (und das will wirklich etwas heissen). Das ist umso bedauerlicher, als dass ich ein Spiel mit einem solchen Zeithintergrund und Thema geradezu herbeigesehnt hatte. Sehr schade.
