The best version of the Settlers by far. Missions, side missions, quests, campaigns and excellent solo campaigns. Great story lines. Seems like The Settlers subsequent new version releases seriously began devolving from this point.

Nostalgischer Klassiker aus alten Tagen.
Dank der Neuaufarbeitung mit der History Edition auch heute noch gut spielbar.
Die Kampagne des Hauptspiels führt einen behutsam in die Welt und Mechaniken ein, bleibt konsistent und spannend. Kritikpunkt ist das langsame Spieltempo und die geringe Abwechslung. Man kann nicht im Tempo vorwärts spulen. Bei manchen Missionen kann man auch mal gut 30min AFK gehen oder was anderes nebenbei machen. Der wahnsinnig schöne Soundtrack poliert diese Schwäche aber wieder aus.
Der DLC Nebelreich führt neue Mechaniken und Truppen ein. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad zieht ganz schön an, ist also kein gemütliches Wusel-Aufbauspiel mehr. Für mich eine gelungene Abwechslung. Manko ist hier die Story, es ist stellenweise nicht erkennbar, dass die Missionen zusammenhängen.
Der DLC Legenden bietet mehrere zusammenhänge Kurzgeschichten, wo man sogar das BÖSE spielen darf.
Alles in allem ein gelungenes Spiel (mehr RTS als klassisches Siedler), das dich rund 50-60 Stunden beschäftigen kann.
