About
Ireland, October 29, 1897.
I’ll waste no time, since there’s none for wasting. I write from Blake Manor in Connemara.
Yesterday, a guest went missing – a young woman named Evelyn Deane. The owner and staff carry on as if nothing has happened.
She has not left, of that I am sure.

It is October 29th, 1897, and Private Investigator Declan Ward arrives at Blake Manor to find a missing woman.
What he finds is the Grand Séance and a group of mystics who have gathered from all corners of the world – waiting for All Hallow’s Eve, the night when the veil between worlds is thinnest. The night to tear down the barrier and speak to the dead.

Interview and interrogate your suspects, keep a record of all evidence, motivations, and clues in your journal, and confront them about their motivations when you’re certain of your deductions. Uncover the truth about Blake Manor and the mysterious séance that has brought everyone together.
Navigate Blake Manor's haunted corridors and uncover its secrets as you race against time to save Miss Deane.

Investigate the manor, solve environmental clues and reach the forbidden areas of the hotel…and beyond.
But be careful - each action counts the day down. Be in the right place at the right time to catch critical events pertinent to your investigation. Everyone has their own agendas and schedules – it could truly be a loss to miss out on a quick chat by mistiming your actions. And who knows what hidden secrets lie in wait once you’ve turned in for the night...

Brought to you by the creators of The Darkside Detective and Raw Fury, The Séance of Blake Manor is depicted by a beautiful comic-book art style. Inspired by Irish Mythology and the spiritualist movements of the Victorian era, players are cast into a first-person narrative adventure, blending the supernatural with a classic detective mystery. With its striking cutscenes, compelling narrative and dynamic soundtrack that reacts to the environment around you, Blake Manor and its secrets will leave you on the edge of your seat morning through night.
...I know the West of Ireland might as well be the far side of the world, for its distance from you but there is no one else to turn to.
I hear you are an honourable man, a steadfast investigator. And – perhaps most importantly – godly.
I pray for the girl that this is true...

Closest to Blue Prince that ive found but still wildly different. I loved it. Saved 22/22 and solved 35/37! Blue Prince is considerably harder though. This game isn't easy but its not hard either if that makes sense.
Poorly designed game, no fast travel means you spend majority of this game walking around. The time mechanic want you to be deliberate with your investigations, but missing a single item might mean you cannot progress, so you end up needing to click on every single thing. Very disappointing.
Overall really enjoyed it, and liked the time mechanic as a way to make you have to think a bit more instead of just brute forcing through every conversation option as can often happen in these point and click mysteries. Though the time mechanic gave a sense of soft pressure throughout, I had about 2 hours to kill at the end and was able to get the best ending on my first try, so it's not actually that difficult. Main critiques: 1. It would have been interesting if there was a little more challenge involved in deducing the solutions to mysteries. As it is it's really only a matter of finding the right evidence and conversation options and then the answer is told to you very directly - and finding those things is also never that difficult because the mind map tells you where to look. I never had a moment's uncertainty filling out the solution screens beyond figuring out what syntax the game was going for. Definitely not like Golden Idol where you have to fill in a lot of blanks yourself. 2. By the end, wrapping up the last few mysteries is a lot of running back and forth across the mansion to grab the last clues, and "gah, ok, can't do this yet because there's time gating/a character is not where I need them to be." While the beginning feels a lot more like genuine exploration, by the end it kind of felt like just ticking off a checklist.
I also felt like it was a little too obvious who the culprit was a little too soon, for about the second 50% of the game I was like "well it's clearly one of these two people and that one may as well have been named Red Herring"
Deductive-style reasoning mystery game, this one about ghosts and demons and Irish mythology. It reminded me of Obra Dinn, if that makes sense. Very good, but not much replay value is as is common with these games. Worth it at a sub-$20 price point.
Top game! I loved the art style, and the voice acting was incredible. Absolutely packed with incredible Irish folklore, mythology and history. One aspect that was somewhat repetitive was that when you explore different rooms, you are basically looking at the same kind of rooms and furniture to find clues but I can let that go because it is after a hotel, and hotels more or less have the same furniture in their rooms. The music really added to the spookiness of the game. The deduction of whodunnit isn't super hard, it's more the aspect of managing timelines and knowing when, where and who to progress your investigation. I hope they make something similar soon!
Captivated from beginning to end. Had so much fun!
This is my new favorite game. It's similar to Return of the Obra Dinn in that you solve a larger mystery by locking in the mysteries of each character one by one. The art style is very nice to look at and the supernatural aspects add a lot of atmosphere without being outright scary. The way the game presents the history of Irish folklore and religion is very well done. The time mechanic in this game was a little stressful when first starting, because I wasn't sure how much I would be able to explore within the time limit, but once I got used to it I realized there was plenty of time for everything I wanted to do. A lot of story-rich or mystery games have a lot of buildup and then disappointing endings, but the ending of this game was exciting and wrapped up everything perfectly. I played with my girlfriend and she loved it too, and it takes a lot for her to like a game. The only downside to this game is that I can't play it again unless I manage to forget everything about it, which seems unlikely. 10/10, try it out if you like games like Obra Dinn, The Roottrees are Dead, Case of the Golden Idol, or Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, which this is visually very similar to.
