The Run

This is a great FMV, but the unexpectedly short duration and the inability to skip around in the storyline absolutely kill the amount of value you get out of your $10. Pros: Solid acting, pacing, and setting. The actors are much better than most other FMVs I've played and the lead characters are reasonably compelling for the format. The writing is generally solid outside of a few really stupid moments. It is consistently high-quality, which is hard to do in this format. Cons: The ending is extremely abrupt and takes away all of the momentum the story had been building. The first two hours feel like the first arc of something bigger, but then suddenly it introduces a bunch of completely new plot devices and then just... ends. If you want to go back and experience other branching paths, you have no choice but to make a new save and start over from the beginning. This one-two punch of the out-of-left-field ending and the daunting task of rehashing a bunch of old scenes make it feel like you got scammed out of something that would have been super cool. In its current state, I would recommend this for $5. If they add the ability to skip around in the storyline without restarting, I think its current $10 price tag would be justifiable.

Um es eine Runde zu spielen ist es auf jeden Fall solide. Ich mag die Schauspieler. Es gibt ein, zwei schwache Momente in den Szenen aber das ist meiner Meinung nach verzeihbar. Insgesamt schön dargestellt. PRO - Schöne Landschaft. - Überraschender Plot! - Manche Entscheidungen sind logisch, jedoch nicht alle. Es bleibt also ein Überraschungsmoment übrig. - Insgesamt solide Story. KONTRA - Ein paar Entscheidungen fühlen sich sehr zufällig an, ist aber überschaubar. - Ich spreche kein Italienisch. Ein paar wichtige Informationen werden in Italienisch übermittelt und wenn man nicht schnell genug daran denkt einen Untertitel einzuschalten hat man keine Ahnung was los ist. STARKES KONTRA Spätestens wenn ich es das erste Mal durchgespielt habe, erwarte ich, dass ich entscheiden kann, an welcher Entscheidung ich noch einmal ansetzen möchte. Zurückspringen ist nicht möglich. Ich kann ausschließlich ganz von Vorne anfangen und bin dann gezwungen auch längere Szenen nochmal zu gucken (es gibt auch keine Möglichkeit zu springen oder zu spulen), obwohl ich deren Inhalt schon kenne und nur an dem interessiert bin was bei der Entscheidung kommt, die ich zuvor eben nicht gewählt habe. Das nimmt mir sehr den Reiz mir auch die anderen Storylines alle anzusehen, wenn ich dafür alles wieder und wieder in voller Länge durchspielen muss.

Nesse filme interativo, tudo é muito bem filmado, e as atuações são consistentes e profissionais — inclusive nas cenas de luta, que contam com uma boa coreografia. Além disso, as paisagens são belíssimas e convidam o jogador a explorar o cenário. Durante sua corrida matinal pelas trilhas da comuna fictícia de Libitina, a protagonista passa a ser perseguida sem trégua por quatro estranhos mascarados, colocando também a vida de Matteo em risco. As cenas de morte são violentas e convincentes, ficando acima da média quando se trata de jogos no estilo FMV. No total, são 20 mortes para serem desbloqueadas, e é quase certo que, na primeira jogada, você morrerá algumas vezes. Você dependerá da sua capacidade de observação, da sua intuição e também de um pouco de sorte para fazer as escolhas corretas. Sua conduta também será testada: o jogo implementa uma espécie de sistema de “karma”, no qual suas ações — boas ou más — influenciam diretamente o seu destino. Isso já fica perceptível desde o início. O jogo promete cinco finais diferentes, mas, na prática, encontramos dois finais principais, com algumas variações de cenas. O desfecho é controverso e acaba enfraquecendo a sensação de perigo construída ao longo da experiência. Ainda assim, o que motiva novas jogadas é a curiosidade de explorar caminhos alternativos e descobrir novas surpresas. Existem algumas pontas soltas e eventos não explicados. Mesmo após desbloquear todos os finais, certas dúvidas permanecem, ficando abertas à interpretação do jogador. Ainda assim, nada que comprometa significativamente a experiência. O mapa do jogo pode parecer confuso no início, mas, após a primeira jogada, torna-se mais intuitivo e fácil de acompanhar. No entanto, desbloquear todas as cenas não é tarefa simples. Há trechos que só são liberados mediante uma combinação específica de fatores ao longo da jornada, independentemente do caminho escolhido no mapa. Mais desafiador ainda é visualizar todas as 234 cenas disponíveis. Será necessário ter boa memória e bastante paciência para explorar todas as possibilidades e encontrar o que falta. É uma pena que, devido à complexidade dos eventos e das escolhas, não seja possível selecionar manualmente um ponto específico do mapa para recomeçar. Felizmente, após desbloquear um dos finais, o jogo libera a opção de pular cenas já vistas. No geral, [b]The Run[/b] é uma boa recomendação para quem gosta de filmes interativos e jogos de sobrevivência. Levei cerca de 1 hora e 30 minutos para concluir minha primeira jogada, na qual obtive um final considerado ruim.
