About
Your task is to construct a two-way rift back to Earth. It is a very complex invention and requires enormous amounts of energy. Simple solar collectors and a few tons of steel will not be enough. You will need to build up a complex chain of mines, refineries, powerplants and research facilities to complete this mission.
Your presence on this planet will not go unnoticed. As you build up your industry and disrupt the natural order, the world will start seeing you as a threat. Build up your defenses. Construct walls, barriers and defense towers as the attacks get stronger with every passing day. You will face thousands of hostile creatures trying to eliminate your presence.
Galatea 37 is an unknown planet in the Sycorax belt of the Milky Way galaxy. Long distance surveys detected that it is inhabitable and perfect for colonization. The planet is full of rare minerals and substances that can be found in various locations around the globe. Varied biomes can surprise you with unknown fauna and flora as well as harsh weather conditions. Construct local outposts in resource-rich locations that will transport the required resources using rift technology.
You play the role of captain Ashley S. Nowak - you are the Riftbreaker, an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful Mecha-Suit. Enter a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet at the far reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy, with the purpose of building up a base that will allow travel back to Earth and further colonization. Ashley's Mecha-suit, which she calls "Mr. Riggs", can withstand the harshest environmental conditions and has a full range of equipment for base construction, resource extraction, gathering specimens and of course - combat. It is capable of traveling through rifts that connect space across vast distances.
Take on an epic journey across all the different biomes of Galatea 37. You will establish multiple persistent bases across the globe that will fuel your economy. Research alien substances and lifeforms, as well as fight hordes of alien creatures, clearly not happy with your interference in the natural order of the planet. The campaign spans multiple hours and offers a remarkable degree of freedom in a super detailed, procedurally generated world. You can decide on the order of your priorities and what technologies you want to use. You’re the only human there, after all.
Your mission is to survive a set amount of time, fighting off increasingly difficult waves of enemy creatures. Each mission in the game is randomized, offering nearly endless replayability.
The Riftbreaker can be played solo or together in a group of up to 4 friends in Online Co-Op. Every game mode and each mission was specifically balanced to be enjoyed in single or multiplayer mode. The game includes a built-in server browser and a dedicated server mode. It can be played online or through a local LAN connection, entirely offline.
If intense fight for survival is not your thing either, then try out the Sandbox mode, where we give you control over the entire game – including resources, enemy spawns, and weather conditions.
The Riftbreaker’s gameplay can be customized to fit your playstyle. You can change the frequency of enemy attacks as well as their strength and numbers, resource abundance, weather events, enemy damage, and tons of other settings. There are also multiple difficulty presets to suit the needs of both hardcore strategy players as well as those that want a laid-back base-building experience.
The Riftbreaker’s development is continuously fueled by its welcoming community. The game has received years of support after its original release and is continuously expanded thanks to community suggestions and direct contributions. The game has a very open content structure and comes with a built-in set of modding tools, dedicated Steam Workshop integration, and a Mod Manager.

Лютая мехаебка на заводе
A hack-n-slash approach to They Are Billions. I'm only a little way in, but it feels very polished. It handles well, plays smoothly, the framerate is consistent. The voice acting is nicely done, the visual language is consistent, etc. It's fun to just run around and smash things up and unlock weapons. Where I'm a little less sure atm is the base-building / tech tree stuff, and what the long-term progression is going to feel like. There's an early temptation to say that it has similarities to Factorio, with resource mining and liquid pipes, etc. But really it's nothing like it imo. Both Factorio and Riftbreaker borrow classic elements from the RTS genre, but they do very different things with them. Riftbreakers has no logistics, no supply chains or production lines. You just collect resources of various types by building harvesting buildings on them, and then surround it all in walls and guns. They Are Billions, or Diplomacy Is Not An Option are far more apt comparisons, but without being able to build units that you can control. You are the only warrior and you teleport around the map fighting stuff. I'm just not entirely sure what it's all in aid of. Why am I doing it? There's a "story" of sorts: preparing this alien planet for human colonisation, and doing missions to unlock the necessary technology to open a rift back to Earth, but that's all very superficial. The gameplay loop is you spawn on a map, run around shooting the locals, build some buildings to watch resource numbers go up. Build a bunch of guns and walls to stop the locals blowing up your buildings. And once the numbers have gone up enough you unlock some stuff in the tech tree that lets you do keep doing more of the same, but with slightly different buildings in slightly different locations. The tech trees (there are 3) are huge, but not terribly exciting, they mostly feel like check-boxes necessary to unlock more missions. At least at this early stage of playing. I dunno. I'm a bit worried that it's going to become very repetitive very soon. Already I'm finding myself standing around waiting a lot on research timers to complete. And the campaign is very very pushy about shoving more tasks on you and trying to monopolise your time with doing the "story". I worry that it's trying to distract me from the core game loop having no fulfilling end-game to look forward to. I bought it on sale, and at 70% off it feels like I'm getting my money's worth. And maybe I'll be proved wrong and the game is going to drop something more engaging on me soon that'll make it feel like it's worth the full price, but at this early stage I don't see anything exciting coming over the horizon.
Весьма своеобразная игра . на раз для сюжетки сойдет
非常不错,不过既然为银河破裂者那是否可以再多些地图?期待后续会更新,我三个dlc全入了感觉还是太少了
Initially, it intrigued me, then I play for a few hours and ofc I'm interested in the new potential world to explore and the leveling doesn't seem too bad, even similar to Factorio's leveling where you research technologies to find rarer resources to repeat the cycle until you beat the game crafting x,y, and z mission objective. However, this game is just not good. The stakes are low because the only info we get about anything are from two A.I. voice actors who have no chemistry and sound more robotic than actual robots, the enemies and combat play like diablo if you were in a mini-mecha suit, and also the art just doesn't look that good for how pretty the game is. It fools you with how beautiful it is, only to be just as vapid. It's more interesting there's already so much content for the game because actually playing the game feels like nothing has any depth to it other than its immediate utility. It just feels like an A.I. produced game, at least has A.I. in the programming for the game itself, and you definitely notice it when you start seeing bigger threats in the game. Lastly the progression system and systems management is scattered. It seems consistent until you're running out of carbonium despite having six different deposits doing different things, while Ironium is constantly too full, which means you're going on a lot of goose-chases doing systems management that sometimes gets compounded on by the game's hostile mechanics like enemy waves and storms, that make a two hour game session a six hour one. It does just get exhausting to play at some point, on top of the slightly suffocating environment.
Много интересных механик, прогресс не стоит, постоянно что-то изучаешь делаешь - крайне интересная игра даже для просто игры в компании.
It's a fun game but good god the voice acting is some of the most unpleasant to listen to, awkward, irritating, and unhelpful voice acting I've ever experienced in any video game ever. If I had an option to turn on just essential dialogue it wouldnt be so bad but it feels like the voice actors just have to chime in every 2 minutes to say something completely mundane that isn't needed AT ALL. "This would also not be so bad if you just mute the in game voices" I hear you say, well the issue is that every 30 minutes they say something ABSOLUTELY CRITITAL that I need to do/know. "How about subtitles?" the issue with that is I would have to read all of these while simultaneously focusing on building a base and dealing with swarms of enemies that can kill you in like 2 seconds if you run into a group while reading. Also the fact that if you build max research stations in your first base and then go to a second area (all players group up, do a timer, and load screen) then when you get to the second base you will not be able to build any due to the build limit. This prevents you from doing any research at all while in the second/further areas. Build limit could have only been a per area limit so that you can have some in every base, but for whatever reason the devs decided I need to go back to my first base (group up, do timer, load screen), disassemble my research station, then go back to my second base (group up, timer, load screen) to place it down there. This has been a lot of complaining but genuinely those 2 are my main gripes with the game and other than that I've had a good time without any glitches or problems.
